    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively position images to each other and to identify an appropriate connection line by positioning plural signal transmitters within the visual field overlapping area of plural cameras and making them tie points in the images. SOLUTION: Plural infrared transmitters 30 generate tie points to identify a connection line when a pair of cameras 10 and 20 having visual fields which are different but overlap on each other fetches images and connects them with an appropriate line. In such a case, each camera unit has a beam splitter 50 that makes light from the same viewpoint of a scene direct to both a camera 60 responding to visible spectrum light and an infrared camera 70 to respond to a signal from the transmitters 30 and to identify a tie point, and the tie point is visible in an image from the camera 70. A filter in an image processing component 80 eliminates the whole infrared radiation except the tie point according to the minimum intensity threshold. Thus, the tie point is outputted as image coordinates of a bright point.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and computer program product which enable a web service gateway which provides support for business services which are described using a particular document format, for example Web Service Definition Language (WSDL), to further provide support for business services which are described using a different document format, for example in a business to business (b2b) profile such as specified by RosettaNet. The business service provides its profile to the gateway which generates a document from the profile and then uses the generated document to enable a web client, which recognises the document format but not the profile format, to access the web service via the gateway.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and computer program product which enable a web service gateway which provides support for business services which are described in a document of a particular document format, for example Web Services Definition Language (WSDL), to further provide support for web clients which do not recognise that particular format and use a profile of a different format, for example as specified by RosettaNet. The web client provides its profile to the gateway.     Abstract: A known micro-payment system suffers from a problem of needing increasing network bandwidth as the granularity of the micro-payment decreases, thus increasing the latency of the processing of each micro-payment. The present system seeks to address this problem. There is disclosed a method, performed in an interactive client server system, of charging micro-payments to a third party billing server on behalf of a user using the interactive client server system, said method comprising the steps of: requesting a billing authorization from a user of the interactive client server system; receiving an authorization including an address of a billing server (e.g. from a smart card); sending an authorization message to the billing server. The billing server determines from the authorization whether the user has a valid account at the billing server. A micro-payment value may be determined from the authorization. The interactive client server receives confirmation that authorization is acceptable to the billing server together with the micro-payment value. It then generates, on condition of a confirmed authorization, charge events having an associated charge in monetary terms. It then sums the charge for the charge events until the micro-payment value has been reached and sends the charge summation to the billing server to be debited from the user's account as a micro-payment. In this way finer granularity of micro-payment is achieved without increasing bandwidth use.
