PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for displaying a character string to be displayed on a GUI accompanied with the execution of a program by translating it into the other language. SOLUTION: This method for displaying a character string in a GUI environment to be provided by a computer program comprises a step for offering an executable program (a), a step for offering a text file including the character string which can be referred to from the executable program (b), a step 301 for executing the executable program (c), a step 307 for referring to the text file from the executable program (d), and a step 315 for displaying the character string included in the referred text file (e).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for protecting data suitable for a removable media by simplifying an operation in the encryption and decryption of data file. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with a user interface processing part 160 for accepting an ejection demand for an external storing device (storing medium) connected with a computer in PCMCIA and USB, an encryption processing start part 130 for encrypting a prescribed data file stored in the external storing device based on the condition that the ejection demand is accepted in the user interface processing part 160, a file management part 140, and an encryption processing part 150. The information processor is further provided with a device installation event detecting part 110 for detecting that the external storing device is connected with the computer. The encrypted data file stored in the external storing device is decrypted by the encryption processing start part 130 for encrypting, the file management part 140 and the encryption processing part 150. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome nonefficiency in undocking a notebook-sized PC (notebook-sized personal computer) 10 from a docking station 14. SOLUTION: A user selects a power supply state in undocking the PC 10 from the docking station 14 in advance. The OS (operating system) of the PC 10 shifts the power supply state of the PC 10 to a selection state in actually undocking the PC 10. For example, if standby is selected in the power supply state, the PC 10 becomes a standby state in accordance with undocking, a hard drive device of the PC 10 stops to reinforce protection when the PC 10 is carried. SOLUTION: This is a computer device which performs power supply to the system body from a mounted intelligent battery 52 for performing charge and discharge, and this intelligent battery 52 is equipped with a voltage measuring circuit 70 which measures its own battery voltage, a current measuring circuit 63 which measures its own charge and discharge currents, a temperature measuring circuit 90 which measures its own temperature, and a CPU 62 which periodically reads in the battery voltage measured by the voltage measuring circuit 70, the charge and discharge currents measured by the current measuring circuit 63, and the temperature measured by the temperature measuring circuit 90. The system body is equipped with an embedded controller 41 which receives the information about the deterioration of capacity from the CPU 62 of the battery.

SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a CPU which executes the diagnosis program of an intelligent battery 52, an embedded controller 41 which receives an identifier from the intelligent battery 52 and outputs it to the CPU, an information file which stores the date information of refreshment in a plurality of batteries, and an AC adaptor power stoppage circuit 80 which performs the supply and stoppage of the power to the system body from an AC adaptor 51 by the control from the embedded controller 41. The CPU acquires from the information file the date information corresponding to the identifier outputted from the embedded controller 41, and judges the necessity of the refreshment and stops the supply of power from the AC adaptor 51 to the system body by controlling the AC adaptor power stoppage circuit 80, based on the refreshment command from the CPU.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a rechargeable battery effectively with regard to an information processing device that is driven by the rechargeable battery. SOLUTION: This information processing device which is driven by the rechargeable battery is provided with a fully-charged capacity obtaining portion that obtains the fully-charged capacity of the battery, because the fully-charged capacity which is the capacity when the battery is fully charged is reduced by repeated chargings and dischargings of the battery; a total charged capacity obtaining portion that obtains information representing a total charged capacity from the start of using the battery until the fully-charged capacity is obtained, and a regeneration processing portion that executes the battery regeneration processing of complete charging or complete discharging which should restore the full charging capacity of the battery, when the fully-charged capacity obtained by the fully-charged capacity obtaining portion is decided as being lower than the full charging capacity that the battery has, based on the total charged capacity.
