Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for the digital transmission of analogue signals, whereby an oversampling in analogue-digital and digital-analogue converters is carried out. A digital-analogue conversion is thus carried out which is particularly suitable for VDSL systems. A transmitted digital transmission signal (110) is supplied to a mixing unit (201). The digital transmission signal (110) is superimposed on a received noise signal (211), in the mixing unit (201) and applied to a received noise source connection (209). An interpolation filter unit (203), combined with a serial noise generation device (205), provides an increase in the frequency band width such that a suitable oversampling is achieved.
Abstract:
The digital to analog convertor converts a digital input signal into an analog output signal. The D/A convertor (1) has a signal input (2) for the digital input signal. A reference current source (7) generates a reference current whose amplitude can be adjusted by a setting terminal (4) of the DAC (1). A current mirror circuit reflects the generated reference current by a corresponding ratio into a reflected current. A controllable switch device switches the reflected current in dependence on the input signal, through to a current summing node to generate a summed current. A current to voltage convertor (17) converts the summed current to a corresponding voltage which is output as an analog signal.
Abstract:
A sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter array including two cascaded sigma-delta modulators, the two sigma-delta modulators being multi-bit sigma-delta modulators. The sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter array is preferably a third order device and supplies a digital output signal corresponding to a sigma-delta converter with 7-bit quantization. To this end, a second order sigma-delta modulator with 3-bit quantization and a first order sigma-delta modulator with 5-bit quantization may be used.
Abstract:
An analog to digital converter (11) transforms an input signal into a digital data stream depending on a reference signal produced by a reference signal generator (41). A digital controller (20) tunes to a specific tonal signal based on the variable fundamental frequency of the reference signal, and identifies the data pattern of the digital data stream based on the tonal signal. An Independent claim is also included for an analog to digital converter.

An xDSL data transfer system for data transfer includes at least one xDSL user modem connected via a data transfer medium to a corresponding xDSL modem within a central office, in which the xDSL user modem generates a pulse length modulated wake-up signal for switching the corresponding xDSL modem within the central office from a sleep mode to an operation mode.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adjustable filter (1), in particular for use as an anti-aliasing filter in digital telecommunications networks. For precise tuning to a specific cut-off frequency, said filter comprises adjustable capacitances (3) that determine the frequency response. If several cut-off frequencies are to be adjustable, the inventive active filter (1) comprises a control unit (9) with a measuring device (8) for determining the actual cut-off frequency of the filter (1). Using the actual cut-off frequency of the filter (1) that has been determined and the information concerning the set cut-off frequency to be adjusted, an adjustment rule for the capacitance (3) to be adjusted is selected in a memory device (10). The adjustment rule is used to adjust the capacitance (3) in such a way that the desired set cut-off frequency is obtained and tuning takes place simultaneously to obtain the set cut-off frequency with sufficient precision.

A broadband signal amplifier comprises a signal input (2), an operational amplifier (11), two capacitors (5,17) and a signal outlet (14) connected to the amplifier. The potential node (8) for working point adjustment of the amplifier is connected through a resistance (22) to a reference node (23) of constant voltage. An Independent claim is also included for an amplifier as above having an active mean voltage regulation circuit.
