Abstract: The digital to analog convertor converts a digital input signal into an analog output signal. The D/A convertor (1) has a signal input (2) for the digital input signal. A reference current source (7) generates a reference current whose amplitude can be adjusted by a setting terminal (4) of the DAC (1). A current mirror circuit reflects the generated reference current by a corresponding ratio into a reflected current. A controllable switch device switches the reflected current in dependence on the input signal, through to a current summing node to generate a summed current. A current to voltage convertor (17) converts the summed current to a corresponding voltage which is output as an analog signal.

Abstract: An adjustable filter, particularly for use as an antialiasing filter in digital telecommunications networks, includes adjustable capacitors which determine frequency response for the purpose of accurate alignment with a particular cut-off frequency. The active filter includes, in line with the invention, a control device with a measuring device for ascertaining the actual cut-off frequency of the filter. On the basis of the ascertained actual cut-off frequency of the filter and the information about the nominal cut-off frequency which is to be set, an adjustment parameter for the adjustable capacitor is selected from a memory arrangement. This adjustment parameter is used to adjust the adjustable capacitor such that the desired nominal cut-off frequency is obtained and, at the same time, the alignment is performed to achieve the nominal cut-off frequency with sufficient accuracy.

Abstract: The echo compensation filter has a signal input (13) receiving the transmission signal provided by the transceiver coupled via an input resistance (36) to an operational amplifier (39), coupled at its output to an output resistance (43). A first programmable resistance circuit (48) is connected between the output and the input of the operational amplifier, a second programmable resistance circuit (51) connected between the output resistance and the output of the echo compensation filter and a third programmable resistance circuit (55) connected between the first programmable resistance circuit and the filter output. Each programmable resistance circuit has a number of parallel resistors and associated controlled switches. An Independent claim for a transceiver with a programmable echo compensation filter is also included.

Abstract: The signal (Vi) is coupled into the input (2), producing a line (4) signal (Vo) at the output (3). A digital amplifier (6) produces a pulse-width-modulated signal (Vd, id) from the input signal (Vi) or a superimposed signal (Vs). An analog amplifier (5) produces an analog signal (Ve', ia) at the output side from (Vi) or (Vs). The output sides of the amplifiers (5, 6) are so coupled, that through superimposition of the analog signal with the digital signal, the driven signal (Vo) results. Amplification of the analog amplifier is so matched with that of the digital amplifier, that dispersion and/or harmonic oscillations on the digital signal are at least reduced, after superimposition.
