Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, wherein a particulate law material for ceramics is mixed and kneaded with a dispersant containing a fatty acid salt and at least water to prepare a body and the body is extruded and formed, characterized in that the fatty acid salt constituting the dispersant comprises 45 to 75 mass % (in terms of fatty acid moieties) of a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 12 carbon atoms, 10 to 30 mass % (in terms of fatty acid moieties) of a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 14 carbon atoms, and 5 to 15 mass % (in terms of fatty acid moieties) of a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 16 carbon atoms. The method allows the manufacture of a honeycomb structure excellent in easiness in the step of being formed, with high productivity, in combination with the reduction of the load on an apparatus for forming the honeycomb structure.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, wherein a particulate law material for ceramics is mixed and kneaded with a dispersant containing a fatty acid salt and at least water to prepare a body and the body is extruded and formed, characterized in that the fatty acid salt comprises a fatty acid salt having a neutralization degree of 58 % or more and less than 100 % as a primary component. The method allows the manufacture of a honeycomb structure excellent in easiness in the step of being formed, with high productivity, in combination with the reduction of the load to an apparatus for forming the honeycomb structure.
Abstract:
Paper bulking agents which make it possible to give bulky sheets without deteriorating the effects of sizing agents. These bulking agents contain an ester compound selected from among (A) fatty acid esters of polyhydric alcohols; and (B) fatty acid esters of polyhydric alcohols having 0 to 12 moles (exclusive) of C2-4 oxyalkylene group per mole of the ester compound, and having a melting point of 100 DEG C or below.
Abstract:
A process for producing a honeycomb structure, which comprises adding, to a particulate ceramic raw material, a fatty acid salt-containing dispersing agent and at least water, kneading the mixture to obtain a puddle, and extruding the puddle, wherein the fatty acid salt constituting the dispersing agent comprises: a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 12 carbon atoms, in an amount of 45 to 75% by mass (in terms of the value of the fatty acid moiety), a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 14 carbon atoms, in an amount of 10 to 30% by mass (in terms of the value of the fatty acid moiety), a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of 16 carbon atoms, in an amount of 5 to 15% by mass (in terms of the value of the fatty acid moiety), and a fatty acid salt having a fatty acid moiety of other carbon atoms, in a residual amount. This process allows production of a honeycomb structure of superior shape at a high productivity and can reduce the load acting on the extruder used.
Abstract:
A deinking composition which comprises a specified nonionic surfactant having a specified solubility parameter as an essential component. A deinking method which comprises adding the above-described deinking composition during in the pulping step (the preceding step) and in any of the subsequent steps (the succeeding step). Use of the deinking composition and the deinking method of the present invention in deinking waste papers, in particular, waste OA papers and blends containing thereof.
Abstract:
To provide a deinking agent having an excellent ability to remove ink and a good workability whereby a deinked pulp having a high b value and contaminated with little unliberated ink can be obtained either by the flotation method, the washing method or a compromise procedure thereof. A deinking agent which 1) comprises a mixture containing higher fatty acid(s) having 8 to 24 carbon atoms or salt(s) thereof, wherein the average carbon atom number of fatty acids in the mixture ranges from 12.7 to 22.5, the content of higher fatty acid(s) having 20 to 24 carbon atoms or salt(s) thereof ranges from 9.6 to 70.6% by weight and the iodine value (IV) is not more than 45, and 2) does not include alkylbenzenesulfonates. The deinking agent may further comprise an alkylene oxide adduct to an alcohol, a carboxylic acid or a mixture of natural oil and polyhydric alcohol or a sulfonate of the adduct.
