    Abstract: Detergent builder granules containing (component A) a water-soluble inorganic salt containing an inorganic salt having and/or being capable of forming a hydrate crystal and (component B) a clay mineral, wherein the component B is contained in an amount of 60% by weight or less, the component A and the component B are in a weight ratio, i.e. A/B, calculated as an anhydrate, of from 5/95 to 80/20, and a percentage of water loss upon heating to a temperature of 200°C is from 3 to 317% by weight. According to the present invention, the detergent builder granules for laundry detergents having excellent dispersibility in cold water and a detergent composition containing the detergent builder granules can be obtained.

    Abstract: A high-density detergent composition which has excellent detergency even when used in a washing machine operated at a low power, and which is excellent not only in particle solubility and dispersibility but in solubility in laundering by hand. The composition contains 10 to 60 wt.% surfactant composition comprising an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant in a ratio of 4/10 to 10/0 by weight and has a bulk density of 600 to 1,200 g/L. It satisfies the relationship S(Wi.Vi)=95 (%), wherein Wi is the weight frequency of each of the groups of particles obtained by classifying the detergent particles with a classifier comprising sieves respectively having opening sizes of 2,000, 1,410, 1,000, 710, 500, 355, 250, 180, and 125 µm and receiver pans and Vi is the solubility of each group of particles as determined under the following measurement conditions. The weight frequency of the group of particles smaller than 125 µm is 0.1 or lower. [Measurement conditions: 1.000±0.010 g of a sample is added to 1.00±0.03 L of water having a temperature of 5±0.5°C and a hardness of 4° DH. The mixture is stirred in a 1-L beaker for 120 seconds at a rotational speed of 800 rpm. The residual particles are taken out by filtration with a standard sieve provided for in JIS Z 8801.]

    Abstract: Disclosed is a detergent builder granule which comprises: a water-soluble inorganic salt (a component A) comprising an inorganic salt that has a hydrated crystal and/or is capable of forming a hydrated crystal; and a clay mineral (a component B), wherein the content of the component B is 60 wt% or less, the ratio of the component A to the component B (an A/B ratio) is 5/95 to 80/20 by weight in terms of anhydride content, and the rate of water loss is 3 to 30 wt% when heated to 200°C. It becomes possible to provide a detergent builder granule for use in a detergent for clothing and having excellent dispersibility in cold water, and also provide a detergent composition containing the detergent builder granule.
