Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting the development and/or level of wrinkles on the face surface in future. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic B-mode image of the face surface is captured, and a measured region is extracted from the captured image. The luminance distribution in the region is found, and a prescribed threshold is set to binarize the image. Next, the occupation rate, the area ratio (%), of the area having at least the prescribed threshold in the measured region is computed. Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable to control easily at the time of measurement the temperature of a part to be examined only and to make it possible to measure the blood flow simply and easily avoiding errors by providing a skin cooling section with a thermoelectric cooling device to cool the part to be examined and a control circuit to set and control the temperature of skin to be cooled by such device at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:The blood flow meter is provided with a blood flow measuring section and a temperature control section B to control the temperature of the part to be examined. The temperature control section B is constituted with a skin cooling section B1 and a control circuit section B2 to control the temperature at which the part to be examined is cooled by such section B1. The skin cooling section B1 is equipped with a thermoelectric cooling device 8, a heat sink 9 made of a porous metal and a fan 10 to accelerate the heat radiation. The control circuit section B2 is equipped with a temperature setter 12 to set the cooling temperature and a comparator 13 to memorize the set temperature, where it is structured so that the comparator 13 compares the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 11 with a temperature set by the temperature setter 12 and when there is a difference in such temperatures, the part to be examined is cooled to the set temperature by controlling the electric current of the thermoelectric cooling device 8.

SOLUTION: This colorimetric probe 3A is formed of a projecting means 1 closely fitted to a skin S to make a light of a prescribed wavelength area incident thereon and a light receiving means 2 for receiving the internal scattered light of the light incident on the skin S, and it further contains a transmitting means for cordlessly transmitting a colorimetric signal concerning the wavelength or light quantity of the received internally scattered light to the receiving means of a receiver out of the colorimetric probe 3A and an internal power source. A photodiode provided as the light receiving means 2 transmits the colorimetric signal concerning the light quantity of the received light to a memory within the colorimetric probe 3A every emission of four kinds of emitting wavelengths successively alternately performed. The accumulated colorimetric signal is transmitted to the receiving means of the receiver as the light signal from an infrared ray irradiation lamp 9 when the colorimetric probe 3A is put on the receiver.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to evaluate the secretion state of the sebum at an always stable evaluation standard by executing an image analysis to execute a learning type image measurement system using self-correlation mask patterns to the absorption spot of the sebum formed on a tacky adhesive tape which turns translucent or transparent by absorbing the sebum. SOLUTION: The tacky adhesive tape which consists of a hydrophobic open- microcellular polymer film to absorb the sebum and turns translucent or transparent by absorbing the sebum is affixed to the skin surface which is the measurement section of the sebum. When the tacky adhesive tape is affixed to the skin and is peeled after lapse of the prescribed time, the hair pore parts secreting the sebum forms the transparent or translucent spots. The tape formed with such spots is photographed as images which are then subjected to the image analysis. The technique of the analysis is to execute the learning type image measurement system using the self-correlation mask patterns. As a result, the easy classification of the images of the tape to be used as a measurement sample to the classification classes arbitrarily determined by an analyzer is made possible.
