Abstract:
A novel acidic heteropolysaccharide which comprises as its structural units arabinose, mannose, galactose, glucuronic acid, and xylose, at a specific ratio. The polysaccharide can be prepared by culturing a callus induced from a plant belonging to the genus Polianthes L. in a culture medium containing plant hormones. The polysaccharide can be used as a compoinent of agents for external application and detergents, and provides good moisturizing effects and a smooth, satisfying feeling upon use. When formulated in detergents, they produce remarkable improvement in a clean, rich feeling upon use.
Abstract:
A film-forming cosmetic composition useful as a facial pack, nail enamel, eye liner etc., which comprises a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and alkyl vinyl ether, being referred to simply as PVA/AVE, consisting of 98 to 80 mole% of vinyl alcohol monomer units and 2 to 20 mole% of linear or branched alkyl vinyl monomer units having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The molar ratio of the vinyl alcohol monomer units to the alkyl vinyl ether monomer units is in the range of from 95/5 to 85/15.The PVA/AVE according to the invention has no acetic groups with ester bonds in a molecule. Instead, there are alkyl or alkenyl groups having ether bonds which serve for steric hindrance for preventing gelation of an aqueous solution of such copolymer. From this reason, the PVA/AVE does not undergo any hydrolysis as time passes and is thus excellent in storage stability.

An amine derivative of following general formula (I) or (II) (wherein R1 represents a heteroatom-containing C¿1?-C40 hydrocarbon group which may have a ring structure, etc.; R?2 to R6¿ each represent a C¿1?-C10 hydrocarbon group, hydrogen, etc.; A?1¿ represents (i) or R?15-Z-R16(CH¿2)n-; B1 represents hydrogen, a C¿1?-C10 hydrocarbon group, nitrogen, etc.; and C?1¿ represents hydrogen, a C¿1?-C10 hydrocarbon group, nitrogen, alcohol residue, phosphoric acid residue, etc.); a dermatologic preparation containing the same; and a process for producing the amine derivative. The amine derivative has excellent effects of smoothing wrinkles and improving keratodermia.
Abstract:
Wrinkling modifiers and anti-aging cosmetic preparations which contain guanidine derivatives of general formula (1) or salts thereof, wherein (a) is a group derived from a heterocyclic compound selected from among azetidine, pyrrolidine, piperidine, piperazine and morpholine; and R and R are each independently hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyl, hydroxyalkyl, carboxyl, carboxyalkyl or amidino. The cosmetic preparations are excellent in the effect of suppressing wrinkling and the effect of making wrinkles disappear and exhibit an excellent feeling in use
