The present invention relates to an encoding and decoding method and apparatus adopting block coding. The block coding-based encoding and decoding method and apparatus can reliably recover highly significant data even upon the occurrence of continuous data loss in a wired/wireless transmission path, thus providing uninterrupted service even when quality is at a minimum. The highly significant data are calculated by pre-duplication or post-duplication. Data lost in a specific time zone can be recovered by the data duplicated in another time zone.

Disclosed are the method and the apparatus for efficiently using radio resources by simultaneously providing applicant terminals with the requested content in the first rank among the broadcasting-request content selected from a broadcasting content list.

The present invention relates to a multidimensional layer sending-and-receiving device and method for stereoscopic three-dimensional video data. According to one embodiment, a sending device of the present invention maps respective multidimensional data items onto a complex plane and converts the same to stream data items, and maps respective stream data items onto respective dimensions divided by time and space before sending. Also, according to one embodiment, a receiving device checks a received signal strength and performance and power mode, checks a service image corresponding to the received signal strength and performance and power mode, checks dimensions corresponding to the service image, and receives stream data of the checked dimensions.

PURPOSE: An MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) broadcasting service receiving system and a method thereof are provided to receive an MBMS by a unicast bearer using synchronization information which is the same as a multicast bearer according to wireless quality or performance of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a selected broadcast service is not transmitted to a first bearer, a transmission channel setting unit(130) sets a second bearer by a transmission channel. When the selected broadcast service is transmitted to both the first bearer and the second bearer, the transmission channel setting unit sets the first bearer about a portion of the selected broadcast service as a transmission channel. The transmission channel setting unit sets the second bearer about the other portions of the selected broadcast service as a transmission channel. A broadcast service receiving unit(140) receives an MBMS broadcast service which is selected according to the setup transmission channel.
