Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for the discovery of a sector in a wireless LAN system. A method for the discovery of a sector by an access point (AP) in a wireless LAN system comprises: a step of setting sector beacon intervals in which the AP of the wireless local area network system transmits a sector beacon to any one sector from among a plurality of spatially divided sectors, and an omni beacon interval in which the AP transmits an omnidirectional beacon to the one sector; a step of transmitting a sector beacon to any one current sector from among the plurality of sectors; a step of transmitting, to the current sector, a transmission frame indicating a sector transmission or a transmission frame indicating an omnidirectional transmission in the sector interval between the sector beacon intervals; and a step of receiving, from the terminal located in the current sector, a response frame indicating that the transmission frame indicating the sector transmission is received and an association is made.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a web service method and an apparatus therefor. A service apparatus in accordance with the present invention includes a message security gateway for security, an authentication server, an authorization server, a security policy server, a harmful site database, and an application server. User authentication employs SAML assertion of an SAML authority server. A service method in accordance with the present invention analyzes a message format and can employ security technologies although they have different message formats.
Abstract:
An apparatus for adjusting the channel width of a multi-channel fiber amplifier light source, including an erbium-doped optical fiber amplifier constructed to generate a spontaneously emitted, amplified noise beam under a condition that no optical signal is applied thereto, the amplifier being used as a light source for wavelength division multiplexing, namely, a fiber amplifier light source. By the angle-turned Fabry-Perot etalon filter and the fiber-optic beam expander, the channel width can be easily controlled without affecting the free spectral range and the power of output light.
Abstract:
A scanning method performed by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system is provided. The method comprises: transmitting a probe request frame; and receiving a short probe response frame from an access point (AP) as a response to the probe request frame. The short probe response frame includes service set ID (SSID) information or compressed SSID information of the AP.
Abstract:
A channel access method and apparatus are disclosed. The channel access method by an access point (AP) having a sector antenna in a wireless local access network (WLAN), may include transmitting a sector beacon with respect to any one sector among a plurality of sectors, transmitting and receiving data with at least one station in any one sector during a pre-scheduled sector interval, sequentially performing transmission of the sector beacon and transmission and reception of the data with respect to remaining sectors of the plurality of sectors excluding the any one sector, transmitting an omni beacon with respect to all of the plurality of sectors, and transmitting and receiving data with respect to at least one station of the plurality of sectors during a pre-scheduled Basic Service Set (BSS) interval.
Abstract:
The apparatus includes an erbium doped optical fibre amplifier 11 which generates spontaneously emitted, amplified noise beam when no optical signal is applied thereto, a beam expander 40 which increases the cross section of the beam, passes it through free space, and then reduces the cross section, and a second erbium doped optical fibre amplifier 12 which amplifies the output from the beam expander. Optical fibres and couplers 21, 22 couple light from laser diode beam generator 60 into the two optical fibres and optical isolators 31, 32, 33 prevent unwanted oscillation. A Fabry-perot filter 50 is located in the free space in the middle of the beam expander and produces a plurality of wavelength spaced channels which can be used in a wavelength division multiplexing system. The channel width of the system is varied by rotation of the filter without affecting the free spectral range and the power of output light.
