Abstract:
Provided are a transmitter and a method for transmitting a data block in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the following steps: encoding an information bit and generating a block coded with an NCBPSS bit; generating two sub-blocks by parsing the coded block; and transmitting the two sub-blocks to the transmitter. By preventing the bits that are contiguous to the encoding block from having continuous identical reliabilities on a signal constellation, the deterioration of the decoding performance of the transmitter can be prevented.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for the discovery of a sector in a wireless LAN system. A method for the discovery of a sector by an access point (AP) in a wireless LAN system comprises: a step of setting sector beacon intervals in which the AP of the wireless local area network system transmits a sector beacon to any one sector from among a plurality of spatially divided sectors, and an omni beacon interval in which the AP transmits an omnidirectional beacon to the one sector; a step of transmitting a sector beacon to any one current sector from among the plurality of sectors; a step of transmitting, to the current sector, a transmission frame indicating a sector transmission or a transmission frame indicating an omnidirectional transmission in the sector interval between the sector beacon intervals; and a step of receiving, from the terminal located in the current sector, a response frame indicating that the transmission frame indicating the sector transmission is received and an association is made.
Abstract:
Provided are a transmitter and a method for transmitting a data block in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the following steps: deciding the number of bits (s) and encoders (NES) to allocate to one axis of a signal constellation; encoding an information bit based on the sand the NES and generating a coded block; parsing the coded block based on the sand the NES and generating a plurality of frequency sub-blocks; and transmitting the plurality of frequency sub-blocks to a receiver.
Abstract:
A scanning method performed by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system is provided. The method comprises: transmitting a probe request frame; and receiving a short probe response frame from an access point (AP) as a response to the probe request frame. The short probe response frame includes service set ID (SSID) information or compressed SSID information of the AP.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A wireless local area network service providing apparatus using a mobile unit is provided to offer a mass wireless data service to a mobile user by using a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) and an unlicensed bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: A transmission and reception unit(630) transmits and receives frames. A processor(610) functionally contacts to the transmission and reception unit. The processor processes and creates the frames for providing a WLAN service. The transmission and reception unit includes plural remote antennas(640). The remote antennas are separated according to moving paths of a mobile unit.
Abstract:
A variable transmission method according to a subcarrier in a multiple input multiple output is provided to determine a subcarrier modulation method flexibly in a wireless channel environment by applying a modulation method to each subcarrier by using a CN(Condition number) that is channel information. The CN that is the channel information is calculated(401). A subcarrier modulation method is determined according to the CN value(402). The CN is obtained by changing the roles of a transmitting terminal and a receiving terminal. The CN is a value obtained by dividing the maximum value of a singular value of a diagonal matrix by the minimum value.
Abstract:
A channel access method and apparatus are disclosed. The channel access method by an access point (AP) having a sector antenna in a wireless local access network (WLAN), may include transmitting a sector beacon with respect to any one sector among a plurality of sectors, transmitting and receiving data with at least one station in any one sector during a pre-scheduled sector interval, sequentially performing transmission of the sector beacon and transmission and reception of the data with respect to remaining sectors of the plurality of sectors excluding the any one sector, transmitting an omni beacon with respect to all of the plurality of sectors, and transmitting and receiving data with respect to at least one station of the plurality of sectors during a pre-scheduled Basic Service Set (BSS) interval.
