24,432. Mason, J., and Rixson, F. Oct. 22. Gas engines.-The temperature of the water circulating through the cylinder jacket is controlled by a thermostat H carried on a platform G in the tank F, and comprising a sealed metal chamber containing blotting-paper soaked with ether or a mixture of ether and alcohol. A rise in temperature causes this vessel H to expand and lift the lever J, which tends to raise the lever of the float valve B and admit cold water to the tank A and through the pipe D to the bottom of the tank F, the hot water overflowing at the top. The thermostat may be arranged to control a valve in the pipe D, as shown in dotted lines.

Abstract:
A computer-implemented method is performed during an online chat session between a customer service representative (CSR) of a merchant, and the merchant's customer. Conversational text of the session is analyzed to determine a mood of the customer. Previously collected information about the customer is accessed, from a database that stores information about customers of the merchant. A tip is determined and sent to be displayed to the CSR. The tip is determined based on the mood and the accessed previously collected information. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
A number of sets of recipients (104) of an electronic messaging protocol message distribution campaign are identified. Each set can be one or more recipients (111). Scripting language is added to each message directed to a recipient. The added scripting language (114) refers to a number of image objects/files that have been selected to form a compound image (when juxtaposed). The compound image is unique to one of the sets.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method is described. Data is collected about a number of member entities that have online interaction with a group entity. A predefined state is assigned to a selected one of the member entities automatically, in response to applying a predefined rule to analyze some of the collected data. The rule is defined in part by the group entity. The method automatically determines whether or not online content is to be delivered to the selected member entity, based on the assigned state. In another embodiment, online content that is to be delivered to the selected member entity is automatically personalized for the selected member entity, again based on the assigned state. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

28,111. Mason, J., and Masters, R. Dec. 2. Force-feed lubricators.-In a gas exhauster of the kin d comprising sliding vanes on a drum mounted eccentrically in a cylinder, a single lubricator is used to force oil to the various parts. An oil-container 2 is connected by pipes 5, 6 to oil inlets 8 in the two end covers 3, and by. a pipe 9 to the central shaft 4. An air-pump 15 or a steam jet is used to apply pressure to the surface of the oil in the container 2. The pipes are provided with taps 7, 10. The container 2 has an inclined or wedgeshaped bottom on which oil drains to the pipes.
