    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct mislanding due to a change in the environmental temperature by measuring the environmental temperature of a color cathode-ray tube of a device consisting of a color selection electrode, an electron gun and the color cathode-ray tube to be placed opposite to a fluorescent screen, changing and correcting an electron beam orbit according to the environmental temperature. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 21 is provided outside, inside the casing to store the color cathode-ray tube 1, in the vicinity of a driving circuit 22 in the casing and the surface of a front panel, etc., on which temperature (the environmental temperature) is reflected. An outputted signal of the measured temperature from the temperature sensor 21 is converted into current by the driving circuit 22. The driving circuit 22 is constituted so that specified outputted current corresponding to the outputted signal from the temperature sensor 21 is outputted by a preliminarily relating specified environmental temperature and current to be outputted at the time based on experimental data. The outputted current from the driving circuit 22 is supplied to a correction coil 23. A specified magnetic field is generated inside the color cathode-ray tube 1 and the electron beam orbit is changed by the correction coil 23.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of the modulation efficiency of an electrode beam path and the heating of an electrode resulting from eddy current generated in an electron gun metal electrode portion in a high frequency magnetic field by using nonmetal material such as ceramic for an electron gun electrode portion in a cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: By using nonmetal material for an electron gun electrode portion 1a, the occurrence of eddy current resulting from the high frequency magnetic field 9 of a convergence yoke 8 and the like is suppressed, no deterioration of modulation efficiency of an electron beam path is allowed even in a high frequency modulation area, and also the heating of the electrode portion 1a is suppressed. Since the deterioration of the modulation efficiency of the electron beam path by an alternating current magnetic field is little even in a high frequency modulation area exceeding 100kHz, no excess power is required for a deflection yoke, a convergence yoke, a velocity modulation coil, and the like even in the cathode-ray tube of a high grade television and the like in which high frequency modulation is conducted so that the breakage of a cathode-ray tube neck portion resulting from the heating of the electrode portion can be prevented.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube which is inexpensive and of high reliability by avoiding changes in interval between ribbon-shaped plates caused by the vibration, twisting, etc., of the ribbon-shaped plates, without using gallium materials. SOLUTION: A color picture tube has a face panel having phosphors of plural colors on its inner surface, a shadow mask 16 provided in a position opposite to the inner surface of the face panel and formed by arranging a plurality of ribbon-shaped plates 15 in the form of stripes, and a mask frame 17 where the plurality of ribbon-shaped plates 15 are fixed between a pair of opposite supporting parts 17a, 17b by stretching both ends of each ribbon- shaped plate 15 on the pair of supporting parts 17a, 17b. At the shadow mask 16, the plurality of ribbons-shaped plates 15 and a plurality of bridges 18 connecting the adjacent ribbon-shaped plates 15 together are integrally molded, and the shadow mask 16 is fixed between a pair of the supporting parts 17a, 17b of the mask frame 17 in such a manner that the adjacent ribbon-shaped plates 15 differ in stretching force.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by a deflector. SOLUTION: A cathode-ray tube 1 comprises: a face panel 2 with a phosphor screen 2a formed at the inner surface thereof; a funnel 3; an electron gun 5 housed inside a neck 3a of the funnel 3; a deflector 6 disposed at the outer peripheral surface of the funnel 3; and a shadow mask 7 disposed substantially in parallel to the phosphor screen 2a. A first conductive film 10a is formed in a region from the front end of the funnel 3 to the front end of the deflector 6. A second conductive film 10b is formed in a region from the front end of the deflector 6 to the rear end of the deflector 6. The first conductive film 10a is connected to an anode terminal 11 at the outer surface of the funnel 3. The second conductive film 10b is connected to a contact spring 12 of the electron gun 5. A resistor RA is interposed between the first conductive film 10a and the second conductive film 10b. Another resistor RB is interposed between the front end of the electron gun 5 and the ground. Consequently, a voltage Vn defined by an equation expressed below is applied to the second conductive film 10b:Vb =RB.Va /(RA+RB), wherein Va represents a potential of the first conductive film 10a.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce distortion of a raster and mis-convergence by disposing compensation coils wound around a ribbon-shaped core close to the large diameter part of a pair of horizontal deflection coils and connecting them to the rest of deflection coils. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary coils 5 are disposed at the large diameter part of a horizontal deflection coil 3, that is, the part close to the bent part situated opposing a fluorescent screen. These auxiliary coils 5 are formed in such a way as copper wires are wound around a ribbon-shaped core 6, accordingly, when a current flows through a left side coil 8L and a right side coil 8R formed close to the left and right ends of the core 6, small magnetic fields with the same polarity are generated. The core parts where the coils 8L and 8R mentioned above are situated are formed as thicker than a center core part in order to reduce magnetic resistance. Accordingly, by magnetic field action caused by the supporting coils 5, electron beams are slightly deflected outward at the center upper and lower legs of a raster and also the ends of them are deflected far outward, so that distortion of the raster and also mis-convergence can be reduced.
