    Abstract: A door device capable of increasing the food storability of a refrigerator, reducing a door opening force, and increasing an easiness in a handling, and a refrigerator having a power consumption reduced by the door device, wherein biparting doors (46, 47) are provided on the opening part of a storage chamber (44a) on the upper side of a heat insulated box body (43), movable gaskets (73) are installed on the unsupported side side-faces of the doors (46, 47) through holding members (68, 69), and a guide part (48) provided on the top surface of the storage chamber (44a) is allowed to abut on the latch parts (64, 65) of the holding members (68, 69) so as to operate the movable gaskets (73), whereby the simple door device allowing the movable gaskets (73) to be adhered to and apart from each other can be provided.

CONSTITUTION:The front edge of an outer casing, framing its opening, is fashioned into a flange made up of a double flange 9 and an extended flange 21 and having a hole 25 for fitting, on which another contact-bonded flange functioning as a reinforcing member is fitted by applying pressure and fixed thereto by caulking having contact-bonded flange deformation part 26 on the last-mentioned flange in place for the fixation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which can reduce power consumption with a door device while providing an easily handleable door device that achieves a higher food housing performance inside a door with a less door opening force. SOLUTION: There are arranged a first gasket 135 provided on the rear periphery of doors 107 and 108 of a double door type and a pair of second gaskets 134 which is mounted on the side facing the non-pivoted side being partially sealed on the first gasket so as to be rotatable with rotating shafts 127 and 128 of holding members 129 and 130. Latch parts 125 and 126 of the holding members 129 and 130 are kept in contact with a protrusion 110 on the side of a thermally insulated box body 104 to operate the second gaskets 134. This allows close contact between the thermally insulated box body 104 and the doors 107 and 108 and between the doors 107 and 108 accurately or the releasing of the contact with a simple structure.

SOLUTION: An illumination cover 17 excellent in design property can be made by setting an illumination cover 17 equivalent to a rear plate 14 or wider than it without regard to the width of the cavity 15 made in the rear board 14. Then, the illumination cover 17 becomes wider than the rear plate 14, so the light of a lamp 16 spreading through the illumination cover 17 reaches every corner of the cold storage room, and this can exhibit the illumination effect enough. Moreover, the back side of the cold storage room 1 is covered across the board with only the illumination cover 17, so this can give the user the impression of wildness and neatness all inside the refrigerator since the back side of the refrigerator is covered with only the illumination cover 17.
