Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a small article container including a sufficient containing amount, an easy arrangement and excellent handleability without invading the storage space of a storage chamber. SOLUTION: A small article container 29 of a substantially columnar shape is rotatably provided at a partition wall 18 for partitioning into a first storage chamber 16 and a second storage chamber 17, and a plurality of small compartments 33 are formed in the container 29. Thus, a desired article can be outputted from or inputted into an opening 34 of this side by a user's rotating operation. The deepest space of the wall 18 as an ineffective space in a prior art can be effectively utilized as a containing space to increase the containing amount. The compartments 33 are changed to be used in response to the type of the article to be contained and hence arranged in the compartments.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure necessary strength and flexural rigidity upon use and use an accommodating space as much as possible without a space upon no use. SOLUTION: Partition means 11 comprise elongated plate shaped partition members 12 for dividing the accommodating space of a refrigerator and holding members 13 mounted to freely slide along members 8 and 9 in the accommodating space so as to locate the partition members 12 at arbitrary positions therein. In this case, the partition members 12 are mounted so as to be rotatable on the axes in the longitudinal direction relative to the holding members 13. Thus, while the partition members 12 are held in their horizontal positions, strength and flexural rigidity are maintained relative to an external transverse force so that a sideward collapse or rattling is assuredly prevented. When the partition members are not used, they are held in their vertical positions so as to have no space. Further, holes 15 are formed in the partition members 12 as required so that small things can be held.
