Abstract: A refrigerator (1) which comprises: a thermally insulated housing (5) opening forwards at a front surface thereof; a drawing door (10,11,12) for covering the forward opening of the thermally insulated housing; a magnetic gasket (14) positioned between the drawing door (10,11,12) and the thermally insulated housing (5) and fitted to the drawing door (10,11,12); a pivotally supported handle (34) connected to the drawing door (10,11,12) for movement between opened and closed positions for opening and closing the door, respectively; and a trigger member (37) engageable with an open edge of the thermally insulated housing (5) and drivingly coupled with the handle (34) for movement between projected and retracted positions, the handle (34) having a presser face (39) and a pull face (40) both integrally formed therewith, the presser face (39) acting to press the trigger member (37) from the retracted position towards the projected position in response to movement of the handle (34) from the closed position towards the opened position, the pull face (40) acting to return the trigger member (37) from the projected position towards the retracted position in response to movement of the handle (34) from the opened position towards the closed position, the trigger member (37) being spaced a distance from an abutment face (13) of the open edge of the thermally insulated housing so long as the handle (34) is held in the closed position.

Date Feb. 12, 1998A temperature control device is provided in a refrigerator having at least one compartment (RC or FC) defined by top, bottom and opposite side walls (TW; BW; and SW), and a heat insulating material (12) exteriorly encircling the compartment. One of the side walls (SW) has a mounting hole (2) defined therein and a front surface thereof confronts the compartment (RC or FC). The device includes a box-like console (C), and a circuit carrier board (3) fixedly connected to a rear surface of the console (C). Electric wiring (11) extends outwardly from the circuit carrier board, and a display panel (30) is disposed on a front surface of the console (C). At least one manipulatable temperature control element (31a, 31b, 31c: PB, LED) is mounted on the console (C), and a hat-like console casing (13) having a peripheral flange (10) is fixedly secured to the side wall (SW) in alignment with the mounting hole (2). The peripheral flange (10) is held in abutment with a rear surface of the side wall (SW) so as to define a console pocket (CP). Also, a plurality of mounting elements (6a, 6b; 55) are engaged with an outer surface of the side wall (SW) around the mounting hole (2) for securing the console (C) to the side wall (SW). The console (C) is received in the console pocket (CP) with the electric wiring (11) accommodated within the console pocket (CP) and with the display panel (30) and the temperature control element confronting the compartment.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator provided with a refrigerating chamber and a vegetable chamber, which is cooled efficiently at high humidity, and the effect of condensate dropping at high humidity, inflow of food juice, etc., on the quality of preserved goods is eliminated. SOLUTION: A cooling board 17 is provided above the vegetable chamber 13, and a water-receiving board 20 is provided slantingly backward below the board 17. Moisture condensed on the board 17 is received by the board 20, and discharged from a draining mechanism 19 in the backside of the vegetable chamber 13 and to the outside of the chamber. Thus, the condensate does not drop in the chamber 13, rotting due to moisture can be prevented, even at a high humidity, and a high preservability of the chamber 13 can be kept.

SOLUTION: A U-shaped food supporting rod 13 is rotatably fitted to bearings 12 arranged in opposition to both inner sides of a food storing container 11. In turn, the food supporting rod 13 is fixed or supported or released by protrusions 14 positioned at rear portions of the bearings 12 and arranged at both inner side surfaces of the food storing container 11. Accordingly, a plurality of protrusions 14 are arranged in compliance with the type of bottle to be stored and the storing space can be effectively utilized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure necessary strength and flexural rigidity upon use and use an accommodating space as much as possible without a space upon no use. SOLUTION: Partition means 11 comprise elongated plate shaped partition members 12 for dividing the accommodating space of a refrigerator and holding members 13 mounted to freely slide along members 8 and 9 in the accommodating space so as to locate the partition members 12 at arbitrary positions therein. In this case, the partition members 12 are mounted so as to be rotatable on the axes in the longitudinal direction relative to the holding members 13. Thus, while the partition members 12 are held in their horizontal positions, strength and flexural rigidity are maintained relative to an external transverse force so that a sideward collapse or rattling is assuredly prevented. When the partition members are not used, they are held in their vertical positions so as to have no space. Further, holes 15 are formed in the partition members 12 as required so that small things can be held.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To satisfactorily supply cold air from a frontal and lower portion of a refrigerator body even without a satisfactory heat dissipation space by mounting a cold air suction tube having a cavity therein and guiding into a machine chamber cold air outside the refrigerator body on a lower portion of a panel back from the front to the rear of the lower portion of the refrigerator body. CONSTITUTION:Any slope of a bottom surface of a panel back 7 is eliminated, and a cold air suction tube 13 having a cavity therein is provided on the bottom surface of the panel back 7 from the front to rear of a lower portion of a refrigerator body 1 with screws and the like so as to secure an air passage. With such arrangement, there are prevented cold air sucked in from the front lower portion of the refrigerator body 1 and dissipated air from a condenser 4 on the lower portion of the refrigerator body 1 from being mixed. Accordingly, the cold air from the front lower portion of the refrigerator body 1 directly effectually hits the outer circumference of a compressor 3 and is dissipated in its heat by a compressor cooling fan motor 5. Further, provided the cold air is concentratedly dissipated in its heat from a heat dissipation hole 11 in a compressor cover 10, effectual cooling of the compressor 3 is ensured.
