Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate removal of sludge in a drain pan and to enable cleaning of the drain pan to be attained by a method wherein the deepest part of the drain pan is provided with a drain filter removably arranged to enclose a water sucking part of a drain pump and a water drain discharging plug removably arranged at a lower part in the drain filter. CONSTITUTION:A drain filter 11 is removably fitted to the deepest part 9 of a drain pan 8 to enclose a water sucking part of a drain pump 10. A sludge 13 generated under a continuous operation of an air-conditioner is collected at the deepest part 9 of a drain pan 8 by the discharged water produced through operation of a drain pump 10 and finally accumulated around the drain filter 11. When the sludge 13 is to be cleaned, at first a water drain plug 12 is pulled out of the drain pan 8 and then the accumulated sludge 13 is removed. After this operation, the drain filter 11 and the water drain plug 12 are fitted again into the drain pan 8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To extend a reach distance to a floor surface, save resources and energy, and reduce noise by adopting a structure where an on/off louver is made open when the air capacity is large and said on/off louver is made closed when the air volume is small. CONSTITUTION:The air in an air conditioned room passes through a heat exchanger 5 from an air suction port 3 by way of a centrifugal pump 4. At that time, the air is heated at this part during heating and becomes hot air. The hot air is discharged into the air conditioned room from an outlet 2, passing through an air duct 6 so that the air conditioned room may be heated. During heating operation when a fan motor 8 is in a strong mode or the air volume is large, an on/off louver 9 installed within the air duct is turned into an open state. When the fan motor 8 is switched over to a weak mode or the air volume is small, the on/off louver 9 installed within the air duct is turned into a closed state. This construction raises the pressure in the air duct 6, increases blow-off velocity, and extends the reach distance of heating blow-off current so that is may arrive at the surface of a floor.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To distribute impartially the electric energy of a heat source side unit in proportion with its consumption by installing a refrigerant flow rate measurement device which measures the flow rate of refrigerant flowing through each application side and an electric energy distribution device which distributes the electric energy of said heat source side unit based on the flow rate of this refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:An electric energy Wo of a heat source side unit 1 during the operation of a compressor 2 is approximately proportional to a cooling capacity of an application side unit during cooling operation and the cooling capacity is proportional to the flow rate of refrigerant in each application side unit. This signifies that during cooling operation or more specifically, when either solenoid valve 8a or 8b is open, the distribution Wa and Wb of electric energy of a power side unit to the application side unit can be expressed by the following equation Wa = Wo X Ga/(Ga + Gb) based on the application of refrigerant flow rate Ga measured by the refrigerant flow rate measurement device of the application side unit. Therefore, if an attempt is made to measure and integrate the refrigerant flow rates Ga and Gb per fixed time (for example per three minutes), it is possible to obtain the electric energy consumed for each application side unit. It will be also possible to charge an impartial electricity bill even when the equipment is installed in a user's room where the duration of use or load varies sharply.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To supply comfortable environment without causing a user to feel cold and prevent forced suspension of operation induced by high pressure cut when outside air temperature is high by controlling indoor temperature so that it may conform to the air temperature surrounding a user even when the open air temperature is low, and the distribution of indoor temperature is poor. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner is provided with a control device 12, which selects indoor temperature as detected by a first indoor temperature sensor 8 installed on the suction side of an indoor heat exchanger 7, if the open air exceeds a specified temperature, and selects room temperature as detected by a second room temperature sensor 11 which detects the temperature around a remote controller 10 if the open air temperature fails to exceed a specified temperature when detecting an indoor temperature. When the outdoor air temperature is low and the indoor temperature distribution is poor during heating operation, that is, when the room air temperature detected around the air conditioner is higher than the air temperature around a user, this construction makes it possible to provide comfortable environment without causing a user to feel cold and prevent a forced suspension of the air conditioner induced by a high pressure cut generated when the outdoor air temperature is high by controlling the room temperature so that it may conform to the air temperature around the user.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a comfortable environment without causing a user to feel cold and prevent a forced suspension of an air conditioner induced by a high pressure cut generated when an open air temperature is high by controlling room temperature so that it may conform to an air temperature around a user. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner is provided with a control device 12, which selects room temperature as detected by a first room temperature sensor 8 installed on the suction side of an indoor heat exchanger 7, if the discharge pressure of a compressor 2 exceeds a specified temperature, and select room temperature as detected by a second room temperature sensor 11 which detects around a remote controller 10 if the discharge pressure of the compressor 2 fails to exceed a specified temperature when detecting room temperature. When an open air temperature is low and the distribution of room temperature is poor, this construction makes it possible to provide a comfortable environment without forcing a user to feel cold and prevent a forced suspension of an air conditioner induced by a high pressure cut generated when the open air temperature is high by controlling the room temperature so that it may conform to the air temperature around a user.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To smoothly achieve defrosting in an inner box by preventing an inner box wall surface facing to an outlet of a cooling pipe located in the vicinity of an outlet of a refrigerator chamber from being subjected to local supercooling upon a compressor being interrupted by providing a reverse U shaped trap on an inlet side of a freezing chamber cooling cooling pipe disposed on a heat insulation member side of the inner box. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator chamber cooling pipe 15 flows a refrigerant from an inlet 15a of a refrigerator chamber cooling pipe and is coupled with a freezing chamber cooling pipe 16 at its outlet 15b. An inlet part 16a of the freezing chamber cooling pipe 16 is configured into a reverse U shaped trap, and is disposed in contact with an inner box back surface 3c. Hereby, when the compressor is interrupted, the freezing chamber cooling pipe inlet part is constructed as the reverse U shaped trap, so that the refrigerant is prevented from being reversely flowed to the refrigeration chamber cooling pipe outlet, and the cooling pipe located in the vicinity of the refrigeration chamber outlet and an inner box surface facing to the refrigeration chamber outlet from being subjected to local supercooling whereby there is achieved smoothly defrosting on the refrigerator chamber inner box surface utilizing an electric heater.
