Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the elastomer excellent in heat and blocking resistances, shock absorptivity, transparency and heat-sealability. CONSTITUTION:This propylene-based elastomer contains (a) 50-95mol% propylene unit and 5-50mol% ethylene unit and has (b) >=90.0% triad tacticity determined by C-NMR in a propylene unit chain part composed of head-tail bonds, (c) 0.05-0.5% ratio of positional irregular units, determined by the C-NMR and based on the 2,1-insert of propylene monomer in the whole propylene inserts and (d) an intrinsic viscosity [eta] measured at 135 deg.C in decalin within the range of 0.1-12dl/g.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a terminal-modified polyolefin in an industrially advantageous manner by polymerizing an olefin in the presence of a catalyst made from a specified titanium catalyst component and an organoaluminum compound, etc. CONSTITUTION: An olefin is polymerized in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst made from a solid titanium catalyst component (a) essentially consisting of titanium and a halogen and an organoaluminum compound catalyst component (b) or made from components (a) and (b) and an organosilicon compound (c) to obtain a polyolefin represented by the formula [wherein P is a polymer chain prepared by homo- or co-polymerizing an olefin represented by the formula CH2 =CHR (wherein R is a 1-10 C hydrocarbon group, H or a halogeno); and R and R are each a 1-10 C hydrocarbon group, H or a halogeno].
