Abstract: PURPOSE: To maintain the anticorrosion property of welding positions, by combining two box bodies opposing each other by welding from the inner sides of the box bodies, filling a filler in a water stop box, and protecting the welding positions by a flexible stop cock placed between water stop bodies. CONSTITUTION: Two steel box bodies 1a and 1b opposing each other project their welding parts 2 from the opposite surfaces to the front side respectively. The welding parts 2 have water stop bodies 5 with an F-shape cross section to form a water stop box 4 at the lower side, together with the above welding parts 2. At a clearance 6 formed between the tips 5a and 5a of the two water stop bodies 5, a stop cock 7 with a T-shape cross section having a flexibility, made of a synthetic rubber and the like, is installed. And the primary filler 9 such as a mortar is filled in the water stop box 4 up to the position of reinforcing plates 8, and furthermore, the left side and the right side welding parts 2 and 2, and a connecting plate 10 provided between them, are welded through the welds 11, and then, the secondary filler 14 is filled in the space in the water stop box 4. Consequently, the welds 11 are separated from the sea water, and a corrosion resulting from the sea water can be prevented for a long period.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve dimensional accuracy by penetrating or diffusing a melt in a gravityfree state, thereby producing the thin-film three-dimensional structure. CONSTITUTION:A plex structure body 3 having the shape of the desired three- dimensional structure and the melt formed by melting a metallic ingot 5 are brought into contact with each other in a gravity falling body 1 which falls by gravity. The melt is penetrated into the plex structure body 3 by utilizing the surface tension and thereafter, the plex structure body is cooled to solidify the melt. The resulted thin-film three-dimensional structure has extremely good dimensional accuracy and is uniform in the distribution of a wall thickness In addition, the quality is uniform and the production in a short period of time is available.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make bottom shell plates themselves of two adjacent floating structures weldable highly accurately and efficiently on the sea by draining water between two floating body structures connected via a cut-off frame and, after setting a bottom outside planking joining shell plate between two adjacent bottom shell plates, performing a welding job in the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:In the case where two adjacent floating body structures 10a and 10b are joined together, two joints 14a, 14b themselves are welded together under the water after these joints 14a, 14b of respective cut-off frames 13a and 13b are superposed on each other, next, an interval between these structures 10a and 10b is closed fluid-tightly with a water stop, and then seawater lying between these structures 10a and 10b is drained off, and successively a bottom outside planking joining shell plate 30 set with each backing material 31 at both sides is made to get into the lower part of a bottom plate 11 in passing through a clearance 19 of this bottom plate 11 as tilting it aslant. Afterward, the shell plate 30 is set up in space between these two bottom plates 11 at both symmetrical sides and then the bottom plate 11 and the shell plate 30 are welded and joined together in the atmosphere by an automatic wedler. After the above operation is over, the cut-off frames 13a and 13b are removed away.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable mass-production of small boats by bonding together unit members each made of a press-worked metal plate to form a hull structure, and positioning this structure within a mating frame with a gap therebetween and charging a synthetic resin into this gap. CONSTITUTION:When constructing a small boat, a metal plate such as, for example, an aluminium plate is cut to a specified shape and is press-worked to form a unit member 4. A plurality of this unit members 4 are bonded, as at 8, to each other by side-to-side welding, riveting or spot-welding, thereby forming a hull structure 2. On the surface of this structure 2 is applied a sand- blasting to form fine irregularities. Next, this metal-plate made hull structure 2 is so supported as to define a gap (l) equal to the thickness dimension of a synthetic resin 3 with respect to a mating frame 5. Then, thermoplastic synthetic resin 3 is charged into the gap (l) between the frame 2 and the structure 2. After the synthetic resin 3 has been solidified, the frame 5 is demounted to complete the constructing of a small boat 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently obtain the porous body formed with uniformly distributed pores by executing the processes of cooling and solidifying in the field of minute gravity at the time of manufacturing the porous body by cooling and solidifying a melt of the material for constituting a porous body dessolved with gas. CONSTITUTION:The porous body composed of a metal or a ceramics, etc., is melted. The gas of high solublibity for this melt, H2 gas and Ar gas, etc., is sufficiently absorbed in this melt 1. The melt contg. the above gas is cooled and solidified in the field of minute gravity. Then, the porous hole 5 is generated caused releasing of the gas of H2 gas, etc., and hole is distributed uniformly and grown, so the porous body 6 in which the porous hole with high spherical degree uniformly distributed is obtained. That is, the metal or the ceramics, etc., can solve a great amt. of gas in the molten state. Therefore, even if the material with a large specific gravity, the porous body with the porous hole with high spherical gegree uniformly distributed can be manufactured easily and efficiently.

CONSTITUTION:A rocket 2 contg. the complete device for heating, gas blowing, etc., of the metallic lump 1 is dropped by gravity as a free falling object in a microgravity falling column 3. The heating of the metallic lump and the blowing of the gas are executed in the microgravity field formed in the process of the gravity falling to allow the metallic lump to expand. The hollow body 40 of the poor sphericity formed with the permanent set 41 by its own weight of the metal and the part 42 of the nonuniform thickness is obtd. by the effect of the gravity G if the expansion is executed in the gravity field at the time of blowing the gas into the metallic lump to expand the lump. There is no effect of the gravity and the permanent set and the nonuniformity of the thickness are not induced in the microgravity field. The spherical shape is formed only from the relation of the surface tension of the metal and the material strength. The hollow spherical body 40A having the high sphericity and the uniform thickness is produced in this way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a champagne phenomenon and the like by circulating water in a test tube and a tank, dissolving air, and constituting the inside of the test tube so that the pressure can be released. CONSTITUTION:A valve disc 19 which is provided in an exhaust pipe 20 is closed, and valve discs 16 are 22 are opened. Air pumps 15 and 21 are driven. The pressure in a tank 11 and a test tube 18 is compressed to about 50 atm. Air is injected under the condition for forming saturated water. After the water 12 in the tank 11 and a circulating path 18a is made to be the saturated water, the valve discs 16 and 22 are closed. Then, an air pump 13 is operated, and air is supplied into the water in the tank 11 through an air feeding pipe 14, and the air is dissolved into the water. Then, the valve discs 26 and 28 are closed, and the valve disc 30 is opened. When a pump 24 is operated, the saturated water in the test tube 18 is circulated through a water descending pipe 27 and a pipe path 31. Under this state, the valve disc 19 is opened, and the pressure in the test tube 18 is reduced. In this way, the bubble forming state in the test tube 18 is observed through an observing window, and the pressure reduced state is detected with a pressure sensor. The result is displayed.

CONSTITUTION:A thermions generator 10 is formed so that Cs can be poured from a continuing hole 18 into the gap 15 between an emitter 12 and a collector 14, with an ampule 21, in which Cs is contained together with argon gas through a pipe 22, being housed and then connected to a cylindrical container 20 having a heater 3. After vacuumizing the container 20 with sorption pump 4B, the ampule 21 is broken by deforming the container 20 with external force, then exhausting argon gas with an ion pump 4A, and the container 20 is enclosed with its pump side being pinched, thereafter heating the container with the heater 3 to pour Cs vapor into the generator 10. Therefore only Cs can be hermetically-contained securely and easily into the generator 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To generate a compression force in an outer layer plate to effect shape retention of a tank without exerting a high force on a ground by a method wherein when an inner layer plate is about to move by means of the pressure of compressed air exerted on the inner layer plate, the outer layer plate is protruded in a peripheral direction by means of a moving block through a wedge action. CONSTITUTION:Fundamental structure of a tank comprises an outer layer plate 3, an intermediate plate 7, an inner layer plate 5, and a moving block 4. The inner plate 5 is a member which is contained in the tank and on which a pressure P of compressed air contained in a cavity 2, i.e., a tank, is exerted. The inner layer plate 5 presses the moving block 4, supported thereby, by means of the pressure P to generate an advancing force F thereat. The force F is decomposed along a slope 4' of the moving block 4 to produce a force F' by means of which the outer layer plate 3 is moved in the longitudinal direction thereof. A gap 8 is formed between the end parts of the inner layer plates 5, and a flexible sealant 6, e.g. a rubbery substance, is located in the gap 8. Since a slope 4' is formed to the side of the moving block 4, a wedge effect is produced by means of the slope 4' and a slope 3'' of the outer layer plate 3.
