Abstract: Procédé destiné à réguler la température de polymérisation dans un appareil de polymérisation 1 équipé d'un système de refroidissement dans lequel la vapeur qui a été produite en présence d'un milieu liquide volatil dans un système de réaction 1 est condensée dans un condenseur à reflux 2 et le gaz non condensable résultant et le condensat sont alors renvoyés au système de réaction 1, évacuant à cette occasion la chaleur de polymérisation. Une partie du gaz non condensable est recyclée vers le système de refroidissement. Le débit du gaz non condensable à recycler et le débit d'un agent réfrigérant à introduire dans le condenseur à reflux 2 sont régulés en fonction de la température du système de réaction. These composition have remarkably good processability, excellent heat stability and repeated fatigue characteristics.

Abstract: A syndiotactic impact-resistant molded article obtained by blow molding (a) a syndiotactic polypropylene homopolymer which has a syndiotactic pentad fraction of 0.6 or more, and/or (b) a syndiotactic polypropylene copolymer which contains 10 % by weight or less of ethylene or alpha-olefin unit having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and a peak intensity observed at about 20.2 ppm in the absorption spectrum of C-NMR measured in a 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene solution of the propylene copolymer is 0.3 or more of a peak intensity attributed to all the methyl groups of the propylene unit, and/or (c) a resin composition containing the syndiotactic propylene homopolymer and an ethylene-propylene copolymer having an ethylene content of 10 to 95 % by weight, or the syndiotactic propylne copolymer and an ethylene-propylene copolymer having an ethylene content of 10 to 95 % by weight, or the syndiotactic propylene copolymer, wherein the amount of the syndiotactic propylene homopolymer or syndiotactic copolymer is from 30 % by weight to 99 % by weight.

Abstract: A syndiotactic graft copolymer is here disclosed in which a radical polymerizable unsaturated compound is grafted on a propylene homopolymer or copolymer, and this graft copolymer is obtained by heating a homopolymer having a substantially syndiotactic structure of propylene or a copolymer having a substantially syndiotactic structure of propylene and another alpha -olefin and a radical polymerizable unsaturated compound such as an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an unsaturated silane in the presence of a radical initiator up to the decomposition temperature or more of the radical initiator. This kind of graft copolymer can be used as a composition for adhesion. The graft copolymer in which the radical polymerizable unsaturated compound is a hydrolyzable unsaturated silane can be converted into a crosslinked polymer by heating in the presence of water, and it can also be converted into a water-crosslinkable resin composition by adding various additive thereto.
