Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector developable into more multipolarity by providing an electric connector causing no strain in an insulating housing and causing no solder projection in soldering. SOLUTION: In an electric connector 1, an insulating housing 1 is overmolded on arranged plural terminals 2, the tail part of the respective terminals is arranged so as to be exposed along the bottom surface of the overmolded insulating housing 3, and a metallic ball is fixed to the outside surface of the tail part. This electric connector is juxtaposed in a plurality, and a frame housing is also overmolded around the plural electric connectors 1 to constitute parallel electric connectors integrally formed with the plural electric connectors.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for a pin grid array package capable of being made lower back. SOLUTION: This socket has a plate-like base housing 2, equipped with a plurality of terminals in grid-like formation and a plate-like slide cover 3 equipped with a plurality of through-holes 8 in grid-like formation allowing a lead pin to pass therethrough. A slide means is provided for sliding the slide cover 3 between a position enabling the lead pin to be inserted by zero insertion force into a terminal mounting part in the base housing 2 through a through-hole 8 and a position electrically engaging a terminal with the lead pin inserted in the terminal mounting part. The slide cover 3 is made up by over molding an insulating resin 12a on a metallic plate provided with openings in grid-like formation, and the through-holes 8 are formed through the openings, The base housing 2 is made up by over-molding an insulating resin 12b on a frame member made of metal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of connecting printed circuit substrates with each other via a flat soft cable without requiring soldering by pressing a metal bump formed at the flat soft cable to a conductive land on a printed circuit board by means of level turning operation via a pressing plate. SOLUTION: After an electric connector 1 is mounted on a printed circuit board 2, a first lever 12 is turned downward to make the board parallel to a top end of a side plate 4b, so that an end rim 12c of a curved part 12b is rolled over the top of a arc-shaped return part 15 of a first press plate 10. Next, a connection end 7 of the other printed circuit board 3 is inserted into a cover 4 through a second reception part 8. Further, a second lever 13 is turned downward so that an end rim 13c of a curved part 13b is rolled over the top of an arc-shaped return part 18 of the second press plate 11. By such operation of the second lever 13, each enters an electrically conducting state.
