Abstract: PURPOSE:To exactly detect the fault of a controller by a simple construction by providing a band-pass filter or a resonance circuit in which the output is diminished in response to the frequency variation of a signal emitted. CONSTITUTION:When a fault occurs in an electronic controller 2, a signal S which has been generated therefrom lacks or its period is varied, and therefore the output from the band-pass filter 3 is diminished as compared with the case at the normal time. This diminution of the output is detected by an amplitude detecting circuit 4, and a fault noticing signal is emitted from a terminal 5. Accordingly, the fault of the controller can be detected immediately and exactly.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify constitution by detecting the fault of an electric computer in a controller for a gas turbine engine, by using a fluid. CONSTITUTION:Receiving signals regarding the temperature, pressure, rotational frequency, etc., of engine 1 to be controlled from detector 5, electronic computer 2 performs control arithmetic as to a fuel flow, variable blade, etc., and then sends the result signals to electrohydraulic converter 7. The signal converted into mechanical displacement by electrohydraulic converter 7 is sent to control variable output unit 8 through change-over unit 4 to exercise various engine control. Fault detector 3 converts electric pulses sent from electronic computer 2 into a hydraulic signal and, when its value deviates from the permissible range centering on the reference value, judges that the electronic computer has run into trouble to send a signal to change-over unit 4, thereby substituting hydraulic-mechanical control arithmetic unit 10 for engine control.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the vibration of rotating vanes in operation without contact by installing a detector for a reference point and a detector for the vane tip in order to measure the period of time from detecting the reference point to sensing the vane to be measured by a time counter. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 2 is equipped with vanes 4, and a detector S for the vane tip is installed so as to be opposed to the tip of the vanes 4. A disc 5, which has a reference point alpha, is installed to the rotary shaft 2, and a detector P for the reference point is arranged so as to be opposed to the disc. Signals from the detectors S and P are counted by a time counter CNTR which is actuated by a flip- flop FF and a presetting counter PC-0, in order to measure time. Thus, measuring the period of time from detecting the reference point to sensing the vane to be measured, and comparing this with the period of time previously obtained when the vane to be measured has not been displaced, permit the vibration of the rotating vanes in operation to be detected without contact.
