Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a reproduction apparatus that is capable of preventing personal information of users from being transmitted to an external apparatus that is under management of a malicious person. The reproduction apparatus uses a revocation list and a valid-content list in combination in order to prevent transmission of personal information of users. It is possible to prevent transmission of personal information by revoking certificates to be revoked because of being exposed or hacked at a certain timing, by listing them in the revocation list. Meanwhile, it is possible to allow use of contents that have been manufactured before the exposure, by listing them in the valid-content list. Accordingly, it is possible to realize both the security and the user convenience at the same time.

Abstract: On a BD-ROM, there is recorded is a digital stream into which video and audio streams are multiplexed. The video stream is composed of a plurality of pictures that together represent video. The graphics stream includes a PES packet storing state control information (ICS) and PES packets containing graphics data (ODSs). The graphics data constructs an interactive display. The state control information defines the control so as to change the states of buttons presented on the interactive display according to the reproduction proceeding and user operations. The ICS is attached with a PTS showing the display timing of a picture to be synchronized with the interactive display. The ODS is attached with a PTS showing the timing for decoding the graphics data. The timing shown in the ODS is prior to the display timing.

Abstract: An optical disk for recording stereoscopic videos and high-quality video signals and a system for reproducing the videos and signals from the optical disk are made compatible with the conventional video reproducing system A reproducing device which is used for reproducing stereoscopic videos and high-quality videos obtains stereoscopic video or high-quality videos by reproducing both first and second interleaved blocks on the optical disk in which first and second video signals are alternately recorded on the left and right sides by dividing the first and second video signals into frame groups of one GOP or more and a reproducing device which is not used for reproducing the stereoscopic videos and high-quality videos obtains ordinary videos by only reproducing either the first or second interleaved block by jumping tracks.
