Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to techniques for selecting a configuration for communication using vehicle to everything (V2X) type communication protocol. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a user-equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining one or more parameters corresponding to quality of service (QoS) information for communication of data using a V2X communication protocol, reporting the one or more parameters by transmitting a first message, receiving a second message indicating configuration information corresponding to the communication of the data using the V2X communication protocol, and communication the data based on the configuration information.

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) data sharing. The sensor data collected from each vehicle may be divided into common information and detailed information. The common information is broadcasted to every other nearby vehicle. Based on the received common information other vehicles may express interest in some particular detailed information. Unicast and/or multicast sessions may be set up to share the detailed information with the interested vehicles.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for assigning or adjusting a transmit-power control mode, or parameters of a transmit-power at a user equipment used in sidelink communications. In some examples, the disclosure describes determining a user equipment (UE) is connected to the BS, and configuring the UE to use a first transmit-power control mode for determining a transmit-power used for transmitting wireless data over a sidelink based on the BS being positioned indoors.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for warning pedestrians, for example, of potential collisions with vehicles. The techniques may be considered a hybrid approach to reaching a pedestrian, in that it may employ a combination of interfaces (e.g., the radio interface between the pedestrian UE and the radio access network as well as a sidelink interface between the pedestrian UE and vehicle UE).

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to another UE, a positioning request associated with a procedure for determining a position of the UE, wherein the positioning request comprises a sidelink communication between a first sidelink location management component (S-LMC) of the UE and a second S-LMC of the other UE, wherein the first S-LMC and the second S-LMC comprise sub-functions associated with a vehicle-to-everything protocol layer; and receive a positioning report associated with the procedure for determining the position of the UE, wherein the positioning report comprises an indication of the position of the UE based at least in part on a determination by a sidelink location management function. A method, computer-readable medium, and apparatus operate to reduce or eliminate interference with one or more other communication systems having specific transmission requirements within a specific geographic area. For example, aspects operate by determining that a user equipment (UE) is in a protection zone where additional transmission requirements apply. The additional transmission requirements enable coexistence with one or more other communication systems in the protection zone. The UE may identify, based on being in the protection zone and a coexistence mode, one or more transmit emission limit requirements to be met. The UE may identify, based on being in the protection zone and the coexistence mode, one or more maximum transmit power requirements to be met. The UE may configure a transmit output power, at which the UE can meet the one or more transmit emission limit requirements and the one or more maximum transmit power requirements.
