Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve performance of an applied-voltage fuzzy control process and a usual control system by applying fuzzy control to velocity errors, differen tial coefficient of the velocity error and electric power errors, in order to gener ate the values of a pulse and a voltage which are proper for driving an electric motor. CONSTITUTION: A signal Wref , indicating a reference velocity, is sent to a comparison node 11. The node 11 also receives a signal W indicating a velocity which drives an AC motor. The node 11 is proper for generating a difference Wref -W, i.e., an error EW. The error signal EW is sent to a fuzzy controller 13. At the same time, the error signal EW is sent to a differential circuit 12, which is appropriate for generating a differential coefficient dEW/dt of the error signal EW. The differential coefficient deW/dt is sent to the fuzzy controller 13. A node 16 is appropriate for generating an electric power error signal EP of the fuzzy controller 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a fuzzy control process which is not affected by external noise by making a result obtained by a weighting function calculation and the application of a fuzzy rule to be non-fuzzy and obtaining the true value of a suitable duty cycle. CONSTITUTION: In a control system, this fuzzy controller 101 is connected to a switching power source 102, and an input voltage Vi , a current IL on an inductor and an error E generated by an adder node 103 are received at input. An error is obtained by subtracting an output voltage Vo from a reference voltage Vref , and the input voltage Vi and the current IL on the inductor are measured by an appropriate measurement means. Also, the temperature T of a power transistor SW is also sent to the fuzzy controller 101 and measured by a temperature measurement means. As a result, direct control is performed on the switch on and off and temperature itself of the power transistor SW, the parameters are optimized, and superior performance unaffected by external noises is obtained.
