Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for reproducing contents, and a recording medium are provided to perform continuous switching of contents without giving an unpleasant feeling to a user. An indicating unit(26) indicates a plurality of indicators corresponding to respective types of contents, and a pointer for pointing one of the indicators. A reproducing unit(28) reproduces contents corresponding to an indicator pointed by the pointer. A changing unit(27) changes a target indicator, which is to be pointed by the pointer, into a new indicator, according to operation of a user. A reproduction controller(20) controls the reproducing unit(28) to continue reproduction of contents when the target indicator is changed into the first new indicator, and then changed into the second new indicator during a predetermined time interval.
Abstract:
A content list display method, a content list display device, a content selecting and controlling method, and a content selecting and controlling device are provided to allow a user to select not only private contents of the user but also public contents easily. In a content list display method, private contents owned by a user and public contents which are not owned by the user are displayed on the same display screen such that the user recognizes a difference between the private contents and the public contents by using a predetermined common characteristic as a search key characteristic for searching and displaying. The private contents and the public contents include main data and auxiliary data which are contributed to display the list. The main data and the auxiliary data of the private contents are stored in a content storage unit(1A) of a terminal owned by the user. The main data of the public contents is not stored in the content storage unit. The content list is displayed by using the auxiliary data of the private contents and the public contents. A content selecting and controlling device includes a selecting indication receiving unit. The selecting indicating receiving unit receives a selecting indication for the specific private contents and the specific public contents from the content list displayed at a content list display unit.
Abstract:
An image displaying method and a video reproducing apparatus are provided to recognize the content of video files accurately even when the video files are not reproduced actually by enabling a user to change the number of display thumbnails dynamically according to the understanding of the content of the video files, thereby easily reproducing a video file when the user selects the target video file, and directly watching it. A video reproducing apparatus comprises the following parts: a thumbnail forming unit(204) which forms thumbnail image data corresponding to a video file; and a user operation unit(206) which receives an instruction from a user. The thumbnail forming unit divides the total reproducing time of the video file into 2n intervals, wherein the n is an integer not smaller than 0, forms the thumbnail image data from image data of the first frame of each of the divided intervals, and provides the formed thumbnail image data to an image displaying unit(205) to make the image displaying unit display thumbnail images. When the user operation unit receives a first predetermined operation, the thumbnail forming unit increases the value n by 1 to increase the number of the thumbnail image data displayed on the image displaying unit. When the user operation unit receives a second predetermined operation, the thumbnail forming unit decreases the value n by 1 to decrease the number of the thumbnail image data displayed on the image displaying unit.
Abstract:
A method for searching and selecting contents, a contents reproduction apparatus, and a searching server are provided to enable contents suitable for the motion of a user to be selected and reproduced even if the user is not able to give directions and obtain imitation suitable for the taste of the user and an operation change pattern as the imitation of contents change when the motion tempo of the user is changed. A method of searching and selecting contents comprises the following steps of: detecting the motion tempo of a user; determining whether time when the detected motion tempo is continuously out of the threshold range of the motion tempo corresponding to contents being reproduced exceeds a waiting time which is set up or calculated; and searching and selecting contents according to the motion tempo of the user when the motion tempo of the user is out of the threshold range by exceeding the waiting time.
Abstract:
A reproduction apparatus, a contents selection method, a contents distribution system, an information processing apparatus, a contents transmission method, and a memorizing medium are provided to reduce effort for allowing a user to previously measure a tempo when the user performs target motion and select contents having a tempo suitable for a tempo of the motion of the user by automatically selecting contents having a tempo according to a motion tempo on the basis of information of the automatically measured motion tempo of the user. An HDD(Hard Disc Drive)(34) stores the first contents database(34a) in which contents including at least music correspond to tempo information indicating a tempo of the music. A recording/reproducing unit(31) reproduces the contents. A walking tempo measuring unit(25) measures a motion tempo obtained according to the body motion of a user. A CPU(21) searches contents from the first contents database(34a) on the basis of information of the motion tempo measured by the walking tempo measuring unit(25). The CPU(21) selects the searched contents as the contents reproduced by the recording/reproducing unit(31).
Abstract:
A music contents reproducing apparatus, a music contents reproducing method, and a recoding medium are provided to reproduce music contents even from a desired position other than a start position. A selection unit(27) selects predetermined music contents to be reproduced from plural kinds of music contents. A recognition unit recognizes the progress of reproduction of previous music contents, which are reproduced before selecting the predetermined music contents. A reproduction unit(28) reproduces the selected music contents from a reproduction position according to the progress of reproduction of the previous music contents.
Abstract:
The present technology relates to an information processing terminal, an information processing method, and a program capable of naturally suppressing camera shake with a target object being arranged at a certain position on an image. An information processing terminal of an aspect of the present technology includes an imaging unit that takes an image; a display unit that displays the taken image; a measuring unit that measures a motion occurring in the terminal itself; and a display control unit that displays an indicator composed of a plurality of components arranged in a nested structure on the image and varies a position and a size of each component in accordance with the motion. The present technology is applicable to a mobile terminal provided with a camera and a display unit.
Abstract:
A control system, method and computer program product use control circuitry to respond to an optical detection of a wearable object worn by a user by initiating a service provided to the user, the service being associated with the wearable object.
Abstract:
An information processing system that acquires position information corresponding to a position of an information processing apparatus; acquires orientation information corresponding to an orientation of the information processing apparatus; obtains image data based on the position information and orientation information; and outputs the obtained image data.
