Abstract:
A control system, method and computer program product use control circuitry to respond to an optical detection of a wearable object worn by a user by initiating a service provided to the user, the service being associated with the wearable object.
Abstract:
A guide information providing system including terminal 1 and server 2 devices. The terminal device comprises a specified location acceptance unit to accept input of a specified location and a display unit to display information. The server device comprises a storing unit to store guide information, including time information and optionally genre information, and position information, of an object of guiding. An information selecting unit is provided to select guide information correlated with position information indicating a position corresponding to the specified location based on the content of specified location information, whereby the guide information is classified by position, and whereby the selected guide information satisfies a time condition with at least the current time-of-day and thereafter as a reference. A display control unit in the terminal device is configured to control the display unit to provide the guide information selected by the information selecting unit, and position information correlated with the guide information thereof, to a user in a predetermined display format. The expected arrival time may also be used as a reference for the time condition used for selecting guide information.
Abstract:
There is provided an information delivery apparatus including an event information storage portion to store event information including a place, date and time of an event held in a predetermined place on predetermined date and time, a location information receiving portion to receive location information indicating a current location of a mobile communication terminal, a travel time calculating portion to calculate a necessary travel time from the current location of the terminal to the event place based on the location information, a delivery time determining portion to determine a delivery time of the event information to the terminal based on the necessary travel time, and an event information delivery portion to deliver the event information to the terminal at the delivery time. The delivery time determining portion determines the delivery time so that the interval between the delivery time and the event time is longer than the necessary travel time. Event information can also be delivered based on calculated distance to the event.
Abstract:
Provided is an image display system which displays a wide viewing angle image while suppressing VR sickness. When the viewing angle FOVO of an original image provided from an image output device (200) is greater than the viewing angle FOVD of an image observed by a user wearing an image display device (300), the image output device (200) cuts out a viewing angle FOVD from the original image and sends this to the image display device (300). Further, when the viewing angle FOVD of the image observed by the user wearing the image display device (300) is greater than or equal to the viewing angle FOVO of the original image provided from the image output device (200), the image output device (200) sends the original image as-is to the image display device (300).
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus for position-dependent image capture comprises imaging means/camera 3 and position detector 10 for detecting a user's present position. Concurrent image and position data may be captured and stored in storage unit 8 which may be a fixed memory or hard disk drive (HDD). An activity history is monitored such that when the apparatus is determined to have returned to a previously visited position, a control means 2 is able to influence image capture settings of the camera. For example, this may include a change in image size, quality or capture time interval, frame rate, or an instruction not to capture an image. Thereby, unnecessary usage of storage media is avoided by either preventing repetitive image capture of the same position, or by reducing storage demands by minimising the image data content stored.
Abstract:
A photographic apparatus infers a user's photographic intent and accordingly switches between a manual shoot mode and an automatic shoot mode. In the manual shoot mode, processing to save photographic image data is timed in accordance with the user operating a user-operable shutter element, while in the automatic shoot mode, such processing is conducted independently of shutter element operations. A photographic unit photographs a scene, acquires photographic image data of a subject, and then executes processing for saving the photographic image data. An intention judgment information detector detects intention judgment information used to judge the photographic intent of the user. A controller makes an intention judgment using the intention judgment information from the intention judgment information detector, and according to the intention judgment result, causes the photographic unit to selectively execute the operations for one of the modes.
Abstract:
Information delivery apparatus (120) receives from a mobile communication terminal (140) information about its location at a given time, and the date and time at which the terminal acquired the information (e.g. from a GPS system (12)). The apparatus (120) stores information regarding the place, date and time of various events. It compares this information with the different times and places received from a plurality of mobile communication terminals, and selects those to which stored information is to be delivered based on the comparison. The mobile communication terminals selected are those whose location is within a predetermined range of the place of the event, and whose acquired date and time of the location information are before the date and time thereof.
