Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop-type voltage regulating device for regulating the voltage, especially of an automatic electrical system. SOLUTION: This device is of such a type, that it includes at least one heat engine (15), a voltage regulator (13), and a synchronous generator (11) capable of operating to provide the regulated voltage signal (A+) of the system and to receive a regulation signal (DF) from the voltage regulator (13), for a loop- type voltage regulating device for regulation of the voltage, especially of an automatic electrical system. This voltage regulating device advantageously includes further a control unit (14) within a regulation loop, and the unit is connected between the heat engine (15) and the voltage regulator (13), and also it is applied to supply the latter (the voltage regulator) with a signal related to engine operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To detect a malfunction of a drive circuit without impeding a normal operation of the drive circuit by directly connecting a malfunction detector with an output terminal of the drive circuit. CONSTITUTION: A malfunction detecting circuit 10 comprises an input terminal 3 connected with an output terminal 4 of a drive circuit 1, an output terminal 20 for feeding a digital signal which indicates a connecting condition between the drive circuit 1 and a load 5, and a detector for detecting when a malfunction occurs between the drive circuit 1 and the load 5. When a control signal IN is switched to an L level, a delay circuit 24 generates an output pulse which operates a transistor 23. In this manner, irrespective of the value of a voltage V1 , the output terminal 20 is grounded so that an output of the AND circuit becomes the L level. When the pulse generated by the delay circuit 24 is terminated, the transistor 23 is turned off. Since an output terminal of a comparator 15 can be switched to a logic condition which corresponds to a level of a voltage V1 , an output terminal of a circuit 25 generates an H signal at the time of occurrence of the malfunction and generates an L signal when the load 5 is connected. The type of malfunction can be identified by a malfunction identifying circuit 12.
