    Abstract: The method is applied for the decomposition of organic wastesand ammonia in waste waters from acrylonitrile production. Itincludes interaction of the waste waters subjected to evaporationwith a catalyst at elevated temperatures so that the volatileorganic compounds and the amonia shall be converted in a mixturecontaining hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide which aresubsequently separated and removed from the flow.

THE PRESENT INVENTION FURTHER PROVIDES A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MALEIC ANHYDRIDE, UTILIZING THE CATALYST PREPARED USING THE ABOVE PROCESS. THE PRESENT INVENTION ADDITIONALLY PROVIDES FOR A REACTOR STANDPIPE, UTILIZED FOR REGENERATING CATALYST ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE PROCESS.

    Abstract: Un proceso para la destruccion de residuos orgánicos y amoníaco proveniente de agua residual de una planta de acrilonitrilo, que comprende poner en contacto agua residual volatilizada con un catalizador a temperatura elevada para convertir los compuestos orgánicos volátiles y el amoníaco en una mezcla que comprende hidrogeno, nitrogeno y dioxido de carbono los cuales se separan y eliminan de la corriente, produciendo una corriente acuosa purificada, substancialmente libre de compuesto orgánico y de amoníaco.
