A composite material comprising a magnetic metal plate and an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate, the magnetic metal plate and the aluminum or aluminum alloy plate being clad together by an axial hot pressing. A process for producing a composite material which comprises the step of: cladding a magnetic metal plate with an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate by an axial hot pressing. A process for producing a composite material molding which comprises the steps of: cladding a magnetic metal plate with an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate by an axial hot pressing thereby obtaining a composite plate material; and subsequently subjecting the composite plate material to press molding and/or stamping and cutting.

Affords semiconductor light-emitting devices in which generation of spontaneous electric fields in the active layer is reduced to enable enhance d brightness. Semiconductor light-emitting device (1) is furnished with an n- type cladding layer (3), a p-type cladding layer (7) provided over the n-type cladding layer (3), and an active layer (5) composed of a nitride and provided in between the n-type cladding layer (3) and the p-type cladding layer (7), and therein is characterized in that the angle formed by an axis orthogonal to the interfac e between the n-type cladding layer (3) and the active layer (5), and the c-ax is in the active layer (5), and the angle formed by an axis orthogonal to the interface between the active layer (5) and the p-type cladding layer (7), and the taxi s in the active layer (5), are each greater than zero.

A filter (1) disposed as a cylinder around an axis line, and provided to be rotatable around the axis line, a treated water nozzle (2) for emitting treated water toward an outer circumferential surface of the filter (1), a case (3) provided to surround the filter (1), and including an outer cylindrical portion (31) having a nozzle opening (21) of the treated water nozzle (2) therein, a filtered water flow path (7) for guiding filtered water that has been transmitted through the filter (1) to outside of the case (3) from within the cylinder of the filter (1), and a discharge flow path (8) for discharging discharged water that was not filtered through the filter (1) to the outside of the case (3) are provided. Consequently, a device of treating ballast water for a ship that can be mounted on a ship and can efficiently kill or inactivate microbes in ballast water discharged from or loaded into the ship, and a treatment method thereof can be provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-Ti clad plate in which the pre-treatment of the stock is sufficiently used by only the normal pickling or the degreasing cleaning, the clad plate of relatively wide area can be joined without deformation such as warping, the price is low and the quality is excellent. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an Al-Ti clad plate by the diffusion bonding method, an Al or Al-alloy plate and a Ti or Ti-alloy plate are prepared as stocks, and a pair of stocks 1 in which both stocks are lapped are made to be the clad plate through the heating and pressurization treatment in which the bearing pressure of 300-500kgf/cm is loaded at 570-600 deg.C under the reduced pressure atmosphere. After the stainless steel plate is joined with the Ti or Ti-alloy plate in advance, the Al or Al-alloy plate is joined therewith to make the clad plate of the three-layered structure of Al-Ti-stainless steel.

PURPOSE:To lower the defective rate at the time of coating the molding of the composite material of a magnetic metallic plate and aluminum or aluminum alloy plate having a fluororesin coating (the resin coating is a non-joint surface side) on one surface with a fluororesin. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic metallic plate 1 and the aluminum or aluminum alloy plate 3 coated with the fluororesin on one surface are joined via a metallic layer 2 by a hot uniaxial pressurization method with the resin coating as the non-joint surface side. This composite material is otherwise worked.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material for electromagnetic induction heating, in which the junction strength between a magnetic metal plate and an aluminum plate is remarkably improved and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This composite material comprises a magnetic metal plate and an aluminum plate joined together via metal plating layers provided on one side of each. Each metal plating layer comprises a nickel plating bed layer and a copper plating layer provided thereon. Also, the nickel plating bed layer is formed on one side of each of the magnetic metal plate and the aluminum plate, and after the copper plating layer is formed thereon, the magnetic metal plate and the aluminum plate are joined together via the copper plating layers.
