Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a small and light-weight scanner facilitating the operation of coded data. CONSTITUTION: The scanner is provided with a light emitting device 11 radiating light from a front part, an objective lens focusing light from the light emitting device 11 on a surface to scan, and a flexible member to be fixed to the front side of the light emitting device 11 to be movable and additionally provided with a means horizontally moving back and forth the objective lens in the middle of radiating line by the light emitting device 11 to horizontally move the objective lens with respect to light from the light emitting member 11 by the flexible member in order to scan the surface by means of light.
