Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methods, an apparatus, and a system for performing a high-throughput preparation and a screening of salts and polymorphs of drug candidates. SOLUTION: The method is directed toward enhancing the pre-formulation discovery process used for a drug development. In particular, processes of determining suitable salts and processes of discovering substantially every polymorph that can form from a particular drug candidate are provided. The processes are performed using several apparatuses that are specifically configured to carry-out various steps in a high-throughput characterization process.
