Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title film excellent in transparency and processability, stabilized in heat behavior after processing and suppressed in the lowering of the flatness of the film due to heat shrinkage such as unevenness or a curl. CONSTITUTION:A polyester biaxially stretched film is characterized by that at least two heat absorption peaks are observed other than a melting peak at the time of thermal analysis and the difference between the heat absorption peak of the highest temp. and that of the lowest temp. excepting the melting peak is within the range of 20-130 deg.C and the heat shrinkage factors in longitudinal and lateral directions at 150 deg.C are 0.8 to -0.5% and the presence probability (Ps) of org. particles in the surface layer of at least a single surface and the presence probability (Pc) of org. particles in the center part of the film become Ps>2Pc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain good transparency and easy slip properties and to prevent the generation of rupture and scratch at the time of film formation by providing a base material layer having a surface orientation coefficient (a) composed of a polyester resin film having intrinsic viscosity A and the film layer having thickness Tmum and a surface orientation coefficient (b) laminated to the base material layer and composed of a polyester resin film having intrinsic viscosity B containing inorg. particles having an average particle size (d)mum and setting B, A, T, (d), (b), (a) so as to satisfy specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A base material layer having a surface orientation coefficient (a) composed of a polyester resin having intrinsic viscosity A and the film layer having thickness Tmum and a surface orientation coefficient (b) laminated to the base material layer and composed of a polyester resin having inherent viscosity B containing inorg. particles having an average particle size (d)mum are provided and B, A, T, (d), (b), (a) satisfy conditions of 0.5>=B-A>=0.02, 25>=T/d>=1.5 and b-a>=1X10 . The average particle size (d) of the inorg. particles is 0.2 - 1.0mum and the addition amount of the inorg. particles to the polyester resin having intrinsic viscosity B is 1wt.% or less. When the polyester resin having high intrinsic viscosity higher than that of the base material layer is used on the side of the film layer, the rupture at the time of film formation can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the separation of an ink layer, to make a roll dimeter small in continuous form, and to conduct a sharp printing, by providing a transfer layer on a biaxially oriented copolymer polyester film having specific coefficient of surface orientation, difference in refractive index between a longitudinal direction and a direction at right angles thereto, and thickness, and a yield point. CONSTITUTION:A transfer film consists of a polyester film and a transfer layer provided on one surface thereof. The polyester film is an ester-containing condensation polymer obtained by condensing a dicarboxylic acid content and a diol content, and biaxially oriented. This polyester film has a yield point in a stress- strain curve, a coefficient of surface orientation ranging from 0.03 to and including 0.10, an absolute difference in refractive index of 0.015 or less between a longitudinal direction and a direction at right angles thereto, and a thickness from 1.0 to and including 30mum. In this manner, the separation of an ink layer can be reduced, a roll diameter in continuous form can be made small, and a sharp printing can be conducted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dustless film for printer, printing and drawing, which is superior in dimensional stability, heat resistance, durability, printability and writing properties, by a method wherein a layer comprised of a water soluble high molecule and inorganic particles having a specific weight ratio is provided on a biaxially oriented polyester film whose thickness, light transmission density and whiteness degree are specified. CONSTITUTION:A layer of 0.3-7.0mum thick, which is comprised of a water-soluble high molecule and inorganic particles is provided on at least one surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film whose thickness is 6-300mum and light transmission density and whiteness degree are at least 0.3 and 60% respectively. A rate of organic particles is 20-40wt.% to the total weight of the water-soluble high molecule and inorganic particles and that of polyvinyl alcohol in the water-soluble high molecule is 15-35wt.%. Mean roughness on the center line of the surface of the layer comprised of the water-soluble high molecule and inorganic particles and the maximum height of the roughness are made respectively 0.1-0.6mum and 1.0-6.0mum. Shading properties of a light, the whiteness degree, printability, writing properties and wear resistance of the film obtained in this manner are extremely favorable.

The orientation strength Xi of the polyester film measured through X-ray diffraction is made to be 20-30 for the adhesion at the time of laminating, moldability at the time of can manufacturing, heat resistance, shock resistance, or the like.

SOLUTION: In a biaxlally stretched single layer polyester resin film of which one surface is used in the lamination to metal, the surface orientation coefficient on the side of the surface laminated to metal of the film and that on the surface not laminated to metal thereof are controlled to spacific ranges and the value obtained by dividing the difference between the surface orientation coefficients of both surfaces of the film by the thickness of the film is set to 0.00015 or more.
