Abstract: A heat-sensitive stencil sheet comprises a fibrous support of polyester fibers, and a polyester film, wherein both the orientation parameter (R1) of the film and the orientation parameter (R2) of the fibers respectively obtained by laser Raman spectrometry are in a range from 3 to 10. A method for manufacturing such a heat-sensitive stencil sheet comprises thermally bonding an undrawn polyester film and a fibrous support of undrawn polyester fibers to form a laminate and then stretching the laminate, wherein, during the bonding or during the stretching, the film and the fibrous support of the laminate are heated at different temperatures, respectively.

Abstract: The specification discloses a thermal stencil paper for mimeograph, having a uniform shape of pores and well-balanced retainability and permeability of printing ink. Thermal stencil paper for mimeograph formed by laminating a porous support member comprising polyester fibers on one surface of a polyester film, characterized in that the porous support member forms a reticulate body having a fusing point at which the fibers are fused to one another, a film which straddles the fibers, and which has a thickness smaller than an average fiber diameter, being formed at some of the fusing points in the reticulate body. Since such thermal stencil paper for mimeograph is provided, the printed matter obtained by a mimeograph using this stencil paper has a high quality of image, and set-off does not occur. Such printed matter is highly convenient to transport.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a propeller shaft made by fiber reinforced resin, light in weight with a big adhesive strength made between a cylindrical pipe and a yoke, further with its degree scarcely lowering down. CONSTITUTION:After polishing and degreasing the peripheral surfaces of a yoke 2, 3, with a bonding agent 17 thinly applied, a resin impregnated glass cloth tape is wound on the bonding agent 7, being thermohardened as necessary, and constructing an electric insulating material 6. Two O-rings 9, 10 are installed onto peripheral surfaces of said electric insulating material 6, and the yoke 2, 3 is mated into an end of fiber reinforced resin cylindrical pipe 1. Under the above condition, a bonding agent 8 will be press filled from an injection hole 12. Subsequently, a sealing 11 is filled into an air space surrounded by inner circumferential surfaces of the cylindrical pipe 1, peripheral surfaces of the electric insulating material 6 and the O-ring 9.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture the title laminate having improved strength and flexural rigidity, by laminating continuous fibrous materials impregnated with an uncured resin on a rotating drum under tension, and by cutting the cured material. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of prepreg sheets 1 fed by the guide rolls 3 under tension are heated by the preheater 4 at about 50-150 deg.C, fed to the rotating drum 5, and laminated by the roll 7 while removing the air between the sheets 1 in the vacuum chamber 8. The laminated sheet 1' is then pressed by the rolls 9 under a pressure of about 1-5 kg/cm heated by the main heater 10 at about 100-200 deg.C, shaped and cured into a curved form of desired thickness along the surface of the rotary cutters 11 (longitudinal and lateral cutters 11L and 11T) on the drum 5 in the longitudinal and lateral directions to give the desired fiber-reinforced resin laminate 1'''.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve mechanical charactheristics of a fiber reinforced plastic for a propeller shaft by specifying its fiber array to the shaft direction of the propeller shaft. CONSTITUTION:A propeller shaft of plastic is reinforced by a fiber 1 for reinforcement which contains a carbon fiber, glass fiber or organic fiber of high elasticity. The fiber reinforced plastic is composed of a cross laminated layer which has a fiber array angle of less than 60 deg. to the shaft direction of the propeller shaft and a laminated laye which contains at least partially a cross laminated layer of a fiber array angle of 60 deg.-90 deg..
