    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film capacitor excellent in heat-resistant and water vaporproof characteristic and property for winding element at the time of manufacturing. SOLUTION: A polyester film capacitor is obtained by alternately laminating or winding double-sided metalized films and laminated films. A primer layer is formed on at least one side of at least one out of the film whose both surfaces are metalized or the laminated film. Surface carboxylic acid concentration in the primer layer is at least 0.008, and static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient between the metalized surfaces of the double-sided metalized film and the surface of the laminated film are at most 2.5.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve withstand voltage characteristics by specifying the height and the number of the surface projections of a polyester film and the range of fusion heat respectively. CONSTITUTION:In a polyester film, the number of the surface projections having the height not less than 1mum is not less than 6.00/mm, desirably 8.00 to 11.00/mm, the number of surface projections having the height not less than 0.5mum is not exceeding 0.20/mm, desirably 0.05 to 0.10/mm, further fusion heat is not less then 53.0 J/g, desirably not less than 54.0 J/g. Further, inactive corpuscules are sometimes added to the polyester film in order to improve workability, especially a sliding property. In this case, particles not requiring a dispersion agent containing metal ions are desirable. Further, those having a small void number in the film inside generated by adding inactive corpuscules, moreover having small volume are desirably. Thereby, a voltage-proof characteristic is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the variation with time of tandelta or electrostatic capacity, particularly the variation with time under a high humidity, by using a biaxial orientation polyester film in which the atomic composition ratio of the oxygen atoms and carbon atoms at least in one surface layer is set in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:By applying a method such as corona treatment, plasma treatment or liquid chemical treatment to the surface layer of a biaxial orientation polyester film obtained using the polyethylene terephthalate which was obtained using manganese acetate as an ester interchange catalyst, O/C only of the surface layer is made preferably 0.50-1.00, and further the wet tension gammac is made preferably 53-68 dyn/cm. This film is set in a vacuum deposition unit, and a metal such as aluminum or zinc is deposited on the surface to be treated. The deposited film is slit into pieces of a small width, two of which are placed one upon another and rolled up to make a capacitor element, and subsequently, pressing, taping, metallized contact, voltage treatment, sealing of both end faces, attaching of lead wires and the like are performed to make a capacitor.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet the requisites for a magnetic recording card and the film making properties and processability of a white polyester film as the base of the magnetic recording card. SOLUTION: A film contains 5-10 wt.% of titanium dioxide. In the relationship between the dimensional variation in the width direction and temperature of the film, the shrinkage starting temperature is 180-20 deg.C, and the shrinkage rate at the temperature is 0-5%. The number of projections 150 μmϕ or above in size and 30 μm or above in height on the surface of the film is 1 pc/m or below.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a metallized film capacitor having defective ratio of breakdown voltage of the capacitor by specifying surface roughness and thickness of a biaxially oriented film substantially made of poly-p- phenylenesulfide. SOLUTION: Surface roughness SRmax of a biaxially oriented film substantially made of poly-p-phenylenesulfide(PPS) is a range of 1000 to 15000 nm. If the PPS film having a surface roughness SRmax or 1000 nm or more is used, repair by voltage treatment can be effectively executed. If the PPS film having a surface roughness SRmax of 15000 nm is used, a gap between film layers when the film is wound or wound by many layers or laminated can be increased to increase unevenness of electrostatic capacity of a capacitor. And, the PPS film having a thickness of 10 μm or less is an object and the PPS film having a thickness of 6 μm is an object.

This polymer is melt-kneaded and filtered through a filter in a melt extruder and extruded out of a die into a sheet, and biaxially oriented to give the objective film. In this process a mixer which can melt-knead the polymer is inserted between the filtration process and the T die.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of insulation defect of a plastic film by a method wherein a cleaner, constituting of the woven fabric or the knitted fabric of long fibers, is contacted with at least one surface of the plastic film directly to rub the surface and remove dust adhered on the plastic film. CONSTITUTION:The base material 8 of a roll is provided with a fiber assembling body 9 with the compression modulus of elasticity of 4-20% on the surface thereof and, further, the woven fabric or blaided fabric 10 of long fibers is provided thereon. When a cleaner of this constitution is used, the generation of scratches on a film may be prevented upon removing dust and dust removing effect may be increased more by a mechanism wherein the fiber assembling body 9 absorbs and holds the dust, collected by the woven or blaided fabric 6 from the film. When the compression modulus of elasticity becomes lower than 4%, dust holding function becomes insufficient and the preventing effect of the generation of the scratches on the film becomes low also. On the other hand, when the compression modules of elasticity exceeds 20%, the removing effect of dust from the film becomes small.
