    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the dust string when replacing the bobbin of winder, by winding the running string around separately provided auxiliary winding roller, then using said wound string to form a thread path for hooking the thread to empty bobbin. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary winding roller 18 is provided at the outside of traverse width produced by the motion of traverser 9. The roller 18 is capable of forward and reverse rotations and controlled by clutches 26, 27. When replacing the bobbin 10, the running thread is cut and the end is wound around roller 18 to replace the bobbin during said period. The thread wound around the roller 18 is used through a guide 19 to form the thread path for hooking the thread to empty bobbin resulting in the reduction of dust thread.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the shrink characteristics of yarn with high accuracy even if it is fine yarn, by rotating both rollers while giving the thermal shrinkage to the yarn to be measured between a supply roller and take-up roller of the yarn to be measured so that the tension of the yarn is made to have a prescribed value and performing a prescribed operation by both rotating rollers. CONSTITUTION:A linear yarn traveling passage is formed between a supply roller 2 and a take-up roller 6 of a yarn 1 to be measured. And then, the roller 2 is driven at a desired fixed rotating speed V1 while giving the heat shrinkage to the yarn 1 by a heater 30 between both rollers 2, 6 and the roller 6 is driven so that the tension of the yarn 1 is made to be a desired fixed value. An operation of [(V1-V2)/V1]X100 is performed by an operator 41 and the shrink characteristics of the yarn 1 is measured.
