Abstract:
A hygroscopic polyester copolymer contains copolymerized units derived from (1) a hydrophilic compound and (2) a cross-linking agent and has a release parameter DELTA MR of at least 12% so as to be controlled in its moisture absorbing and releasing property. Fibers containing the polyester copolymer may be formed and these may be utilized in materials for underwear, sports wear, interlinings, etc. as highly hygroscopic woven and knitted fabrics, etc.

Abstract:
Disclosed are a hygroscopic polyester copolymer containing a hydrophilic compound copolymerized and a crosslinking agent and having controlled moisture absorbing and releasing property, and a fiber produced using the polyester copolymer. The fiber can be used as a comfortable material for underwear, sports wear, interlinings, etc. as highly hygroscopic woven and knitted fabrics, etc. of high quality.
Abstract:
A polyester fiber comprises a hygroscopic polyester composition which contains 1 to 20 percent by weight of hygroscopic silica-based inorganic particles in which the average diameter, the specific surface area, the micropore volume, and the hygroscopic parameter DELTA MR are within specified ranges. This hygroscopic fiber is suitable for clothes which require comfortableness.

Abstract:
A fiber comprising a polyester having moisture-absorbing and releasing property which contains 1 to 20 wt.% of silica-based inorganic particles having moisture-absorbing and releasing property and has specific ranges of an average diameter, a specific surface area, a pore volume and a moisture absorbing parameter ( .DELTA.MR). The fiber exhibits excellent moisture- absorbing and releasing property and thus can be suitably used as a fiber having moisture-absorbing and releasing property for a synthetic fiber fabri c being comfortable to wear.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial polyester fiber usable for an alkali thinning use. SOLUTION: This antibacterial polyester fiber is made of a polyethylene terephthalate containing ≥85 mol% ethylene terephthalate repeating unit, contains 0.3-5.0 wt.% phosphate-based antibacterial particles containing a metallic ion and has a residual elongation of 30-200%. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a basic dye-dyeable copolyester fiber which has a high strength, a stretching property, and excellent dyeability with basic dyes and disperse dyes and is suitable for sport wears, by processing a specific polyester into the fiber having a prescribed Young's modulus and a prescribed elongation elastic recovery. SOLUTION: This basic dye-dyeable polyester fiber comprises a polyester which contains propylene terephthalate units as main components and a polyoxyalkylene glycol having a mol.wt. of >=192 preferably in an amount of 0.01 to 20 wt.% and has been copolymerized with a basic dye-dyeable site component such as a sulfoisophthalic acid alkali metal salt (preferably in an amount of 0.01 to 10 mol.% based on the total acid components), has a Young's modulus of
