Abstract: Antithrombic medical material having on its surface a film made from a graft copolymer produced by grafting a quaternary ammonium monomer and a hydrophilic monomer onto a hydrophobic polymer, characterized in that an anticoagulant such as heparin is immobilized therein in a depth of at least 45 % from the film surface and that the thickness of the film in which the anticoagulant is immobilized is at least 3 mu m. This material has excellent antithrombotic properties and a uniform quality and, particularly, the film is free from discoloration.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The recycled slurry of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid is fed stably into a plurality of batchwise polymerizers to produce bis-beta-hydroxyethyl terephthalate and/or its oligomers. CONSTITUTION:A slurry of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol wherein the molar ratio of EG/TPA is 0.95 or more is stored in slurry tank 2, taken out of it with primary snake pump 3 and recycled in pipe 4. The slurry is fed from the arbitrary points of the recycling pipe through branching balve 5 and metering pump 7 into a plurality of esterifiers 9. At this time counter 8 counts the revolution number of the feed pump for the slurry and the amount fed is controlled. Thus, the batchside esterification is conducted to produce the objective polyester. EFFECT:The cyclization of the slurry can keep the uniformity and the constant molar ratio and prevent the clogging of pipes.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent anti-thrombogenic property, and prevent the occurrence of discoloration of a constant quality, particularly, a coating film by fixing an anticoagulant up to a depth not less than a specific value from a coating film surface, and setting a film thickness to which the anticoagulant is fixed within a range of a specific value. SOLUTION: An anticoagulant is fixed up to a depth not less than 45% from a coating film surface of a copolymer of a hydrophobic polymer, a quaternary ammonium containing monomer and a hydrophilic monomer, and a film thickness to which the anticoagulant is fixed is 3 to 100 μm. Particularly, the anticoagulant is desirably fixed up to a depth not less than 75%, and the film thickness is also desirable to be 6 to 65 μm. A polyvinyl chloride is desirable as the hydrophobic polymer, and a vinyl compound having a quaternary ammonium group is desirable as the quaternary ammonium containing monomer. A vinyl compound having a hydrophilic group is desirable as the hydrophilic monomer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide anti-thrombus medical material to which coating can be easily applied, and which has an anti-thrombus property for a long period by forming it by ionic bond of copolymer comprising hydrophobic polymer of a specified polymerization degree and hydrophilic monomer with heparin or its salt. CONSTITUTION: With copolymer of hydrophobic polymer of a polymerization degree of 580 or less, that is vinyl chloride, for example, and hydrophilic monomer, that is vinyl compound, for example, heparin or its salt is ion-bonded to provide anti-thrombus medical material. Though the mode of the copolymer is not specially limited, graft polymerization is the most favorable for the purpose of achieving excellent anti-thrombus effect as the medical material. There is no special limit to the heparin or salt, but normally, heparin sodium, benzal conium heparin, etc., are used. Heparin thickness is set to be about 0.5wt.% or more, and the copolymer is immersed in it at about 50-80 deg.C for about several hours to 5 days to form heparin.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform coated film not only on the internal and external surface of a tubular article having a side hole, but also on the side hole wall surface as well without clogging the side hole by a method wherein the inside of the tubular article having the side hole is placed under a negative pressure, to make a coating liquid flow in, and then, the inside of the tubular article is placed under a positive pressure to make the coating liquid inside flow out to the outside. SOLUTION: A tubular article 1 having a side hole is fixed by a fixing member 2, and a pressure regulating nozzle 5 which is arranged on the top of the tubular article 1, is connected to a negative pressure line 6 and a positive pressure line 8, and a discharging amount to the pressure regulating nozzle 5 is adjusted by cocks 7, 9. Also, a coating liquid container 3 is arranged under the tubular article 1, and the tubular article 1 is dipped in a coating liquid 4 by a vertical movement. In addition, a suction nozzle 10 is arranged under the tubular article 1. After clipping the tubular article 1 in the coating liquid 4, the pressure regulating nozzle 5 connected to the tubular article 1 is placed under a negative pressure, and the coating liquid 4 in the tubular article 1, is sucked up, and after taking out the tubular article 1 from the coating liquid container 3, the inside of the tubular article 1 is placed under a negative pressure, and the coating liquid is further sucked in from the nozzle 10 under the tubular article 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain bis-beta-hydroxyethyl terephthalate and its oligomer in a short time efficiently, by preheating a slurry which has a low molar ratio of terephthalic acid to ethylene glycol by a static type blender, followed by feeding it to an esterification reaction system. CONSTITUTION:First, a slurry which has a low molar ratio of terephthalic acid to ethylene glycol of 1-1.3 is prepared. The slurry, for example, is then transferred from the pump 1 through the conduit 2 to the static type blender 4 with the heating medium 5 where the slurry is preheated to a temperature not lower than 100 deg.C and not higher than the boiling temperature of ethylene glycol, and the slurry is fed continuously to the esterification reactor 6, give bis-beta-hydroxyethyl terephthalate or its oligomer. The high-temperature slurry can be fed to the ewterification reaction system stably without reducing the flow properties of the slurry. The load of a rectifying column is reduced, and the desired compound is obtained by a simple process. USE:An intermediate for preparing polyethylene terephthalate.
