    Abstract: An analysis chip which has a baseboard having a selectively binding subst ance immobilized on the surface thereof, a covering member bonded to this ba seboard and fine particles contained or injected in a movable state within a space that is formed between the baseboard and the covering member, wherein the surface of the fine particles is coated with a surfactant. Owing to thi s construction, it is possible to prevent the formation of bubbles inhibitin g a selective reaction between a test substance and the selectively binding substance having been immobilized so that data variation and lowering in the sensitivity can be regulated and the reproducibility of the measurement can be elevated.

    Abstract: This invention is directed to an analysis chip comprising a substrate having a surface on which a selective binding substance is immobilized; a cover member adhered to the substrate; and particles movably contained or injected in a void between the substrate and the cover member; wherein the surfaces of the particles are coated with a surfactant. By this invention, generation of bubbles which inhibit the selective reaction between the test substance and the immobilized selective binding substance is suppressed, thereby reducing the deviation of data, suppressing the lowering of sensitivity, and promoting the reproducibility of the measurement.

    Abstract: Discolsed is a process of preparing a single-stranded DNA. In the first step of the process of the present invention, a single-stranded DNA containing a template DNA region is provided. Then a terminating structure which terminates the extension of DNA chain which is to be formed using the template DNA as a template in a later step is introduced at the 5' end portion of the template DNA. Then one or more primers are hybridized with one or more portion of the template DNA. Therafter, the primer is extended utilizing the template DNA as a template. Finally, the single-stranded DNA formed by the extension of the primer is separated and recovered.
