    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appearance inspection device for a thread package capable of executing the inspection with high accuracy in a short time by surely retracting a suspended thread outside of an inspection area. SOLUTION: In this appearance inspection device where the thread package P having a bunch winding part B on a bobbin end is uprightly stood, and optical detectors 9, 10 are mounted around the same to detect defects on a surface of a cop by the optical detectors, an upward injection nozzle 13 for upwardly injecting the air along the surface of the cop is mounted at a lower part of the thread package P, and a thread end of the bunch winding part is retracted outside of the inspection area by the air injection.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A twister, designed to prevent the abnormal tension flucturation in the initial winding, and the balloon enlarging in the full package, comprising an arm slidable with the external force on the rod, which is drivably connected to the ring synchronously, with a lappet guide. CONSTITUTION:The lappet guide 2 is slidably attached to the rod 1 which lifts and lowers synchronously with the traverse of the ring 3 via the arm 4. The drive shaft is equipped with the pinion 6 which meshes with rack 8 at the end of the slide bar 7 connected to the arm 4 via the connecting rod 9. The distance between the lappet guide and the ring 3 is preset with the rotation of the drive shaft suitably not to cause the abnormal tension fluctuation in the initial winding. At the full package, the distance is reduced to prevent the increasing ballooning.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly remove residual threads on a paper tube PT having a given outside diameter. SOLUTION: A scraper unit 40 includes scrapers 43, 43 and so forth radially disposed on the front surface of a circular guide member 41, and a driving member 44 for driving the scrapers 43, 43 and so forth in the radial direction of the guide member 41. The scraper unit is combined with a holder 20 and a cutter 31. The cutter 31 cuts the residual threads of the paper tube PT on the holder 20 and the scraper unit 40 adjusts the opening diameter of each of the scrapers 43, 43 and so forth via the driving member 44 to match the outside diameter of the paper tube PT. The residual threads on the paper tube PT can thus be removed.
