    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a filament bundle which has a high productivity and reliability and an apparatus for the method and a method for forming a hollow fiber bundle for a hollow fiber filter membrane separator and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for winding up filaments 1 as a linear filament bundle between a pair of filament holding bars 2b by a filament guide part 700, filament holding bars 2b formed in the shape of a cross on the both end part circumferences of a rotary shaft 4 arranged rotatably opposite to the guide part 700, a turret means for rotating the bars 2b intermittently when the filament bundle on the bars is fully wound, a filament bundle grasping means 200 for grasping the finally wound filaments, and a means for supporting the filament when a collected filament bundle 70 is rotated/transferred are arranged, and a filament bundle module forming means 400 for forming a filament bundle module from the collected filament bundle in a place opposite to the guide part and a transfer means for transferring the filament bundle module to a conveyance means 500 are provided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry a large amt. of hollow fiber membranes in a short period of time while preventing the partial deformation of these membranes and to make the process applicable even to continuous fibers as well by subjecting the membranes to irradiation with microwaves and a wet heat treatment by steam. SOLUTION: A membrane forming stock soln. is prepd. by heating and dissolving polysulfone, polyvinylpyrrolidone and dimethylacetamide and the hollow fiber membranes are formed from this soln. The membranes are continuously passed through a washing vessel and a moisture retaining agent sticking vessel consisting of an aq. glycerol soln. The membranes are then sent to a dry treatment apparatus by steam superheat, where the membranes are irradiated with the microwaves of about 1 kW in output under an atmosphere of about 130 deg.C or about 150 deg.C and are dried. As a result, the drying of moisture is ended in about 3 minutes and the hollow fiber membranes are put into the state stuck with the high concn. glycerol soln. The membrane is dried slightly earlier at a wet heat temp. of about 150 deg.C. The hollow fiber membranes may thus be dried by preventing the collapse of the fibers.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread strip tension imparting device, a method for imparting tension, and a device and a method for forming a thread strip bundle that can form the thread strip bundle in a stable shape without causing deformation, converge and from a thread strip bundle with low tension winding without damaging a hollow thread with especially thin film pressure, having high productivity, reliability, and stability, in a device for converging the long-sized thread strip. SOLUTION: The converging device winds a thread strip on the outer periphery of thread strip holding bars arranged at an interval by turning the thread strip. The thread strip tension imparting device comprises a pair of tension imparting rollers disposed in a thread passage, a variable brake device for controlling torques of the rollers, a roller moving means for arbitrarily changing distance between the rollers for one of both of the rollers, a damper device in which the distance between the rollers automatically changes when tension higher than a set value is applied, and a tension gauge for measuring tension of the thread strip during convergence.
