    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the title roll into a favorable form of the roll by preventing generation of creases during a period of time extending to a slit process, by controlling hours where an intermediate product of a polyester film of specific thickness is exposed to an atmosphere according to an atmospheric temperature. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film which has been manufactured to a specific thickness of less than 50 mu where a creasing defect is apt to dccur is wound up as an intermediate product which is slit into a beltlike film by rewinding the same, which is wound up as a final product. In this instance, when relative humidity of an atmosphere where the intermediate product is exposed until the same is slit is H [%] and time extending to start of slitting from an end of winding of the intermediate product is T (hour), an expression of T 45. When the humidity of a storing place of the intermediate product up to a slit process is less than 45%, a quantity of expansion through moisture absorption of the polyester film is low. However, when the time wherein the intermediate product exposed under the atmosphere is controlled short from the foregoing standard, also the moisture absorption, therefore, also the expansion quantity is controlled low even if the humidity is larger than 45%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To hold down the extent of hardness unevenness within the desired range as well as to check the quantity of a film loss to the possible smallest extent, by setting a traverse quantity in a way of relating a cross direction drawing multiplying factor of the biaxial oriented polyester film to a pitch of a ferrule slit clearance adjusting bolt. CONSTITUTION:A cross direction drawing multiplying factor of a biaxial oriented polyester film is set to a range of 2.0-4.0 times, and under this state, it is made up of having relations between a traverse quantity Lmm at the time of winding, the cross direction drawing multiplying factor T and a bolt pitch Pmm of a ferrule slit clearance adjusting bolt set to L>=2(4-T)PT. The way to traverse the film in the cross direction will do in either method of traversing the film itself to be fed to a take-up roller, or that of traversing the film to be fed with respect to the wound film by traversing the take-up roller. A traverse speed at the time of winding is not specially restricted, but it is desirable to be 50-2,000m/period in film winding length.
