    Abstract: False twist yarns consisting of synthetic fibers, having, in respective specified-ranges, an elongation, an expansion/contraction restoring ratio, a crimp developing elongation ratio, a maximum shrinkage stress, a single-yarn deforming level, and the number of interlaces, being excellent in drapability, soft feeling, bulkiness, and stretchability, and having a lightweight feeling, a mild luster, and a smooth, dry feeling. The false twist yarns can create woven/knitted fabrics having a novel texture not found in those using conventional drawn yarns or false twist yarns. In a drawing false twist process provided with a heater, a false twister, and a twist setter provided between the heater and the false twister, non-drawn yarns supplied to this process are heated by the heater with a twisting action to be applied thereto by the false twister controlled by the twist setter, are allowed to pass the twist setter after heated, and then are false-twisted by the false twister with the twist setter as a twisting starting point, thereby producing false twist yarns.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:An undrawn yarn of polyester is treated with a finishing oil, taken up with the first godet roller at a high speed, then drawn by leading the yarn to the second dodet roller with the matte-finished surface to achieve the stabilized production of drawn yarns with simple installation at low costs. CONSTITUTION:Polyester is melt-extruded into an undrawn yarn 2, which is solidified by cooling, treated with a finishing oil by means of the oil feeder 4 which is set to the position less than 3m under the spinneret 1. Then, the undrawn yarn is taken up with the first unheated godet roller 5 at a speed over 4,500m/min, then led to the second godet roller 6 which is matte-finished on its surface and drawing is effected by the difference in peripheral speed between the first and second godet rollers. EFFECT:The yarn is prevented from fluctuating on the rollers to reduce yarn break caused by mutual contact between yarns and productivity is greatly increased as well energy conserved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To save energy consumption, to improve the working environment, and to carry out the spinning of a synthetic fiber in high efficiency, by separating the extruder chamber composed mainly of the heating part of the melt extruder, the spinning chamber and the winding chamber from each other, and controlling each chamber to respective specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:The extruder chamber A composed mainly of the parts heated at a high temperature, e.g. the melt extruder 1, the heat-insulation box 2 of the polymer, the spinneret pack 3 and the spinneret 4, etc. is separated by the floor 13 from the spinning chamber. The filament yarn Y extruded from the spinneret 4 is cooled in the spinning chamber B with the cooling apparatus 5, passed through the yarn duct 6 placed on a platform 14 separating the spinning chamber B from the winding chamber C, taken up with the first and the second take- up rolls 7, 8 in the winding chamber C, and wound in the form of a package 18 by the winder 9. The spinning can be carried out in high efficiency by controlling the extruder chamber A, the spinning chamber B and the winding chamber C to different temperatures.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composite fibers of the bimetal type stably, by melt spinning two polyester polymers having greatly different viscosities from wedge-like extruding holes to give the area of the extruding side of a high-viscosity polymer larger than that of the low-viscosity polymer. CONSTITUTION:In composite spinning two polyester polymers having different melt viscosites, the melt viscosity of a low-viscosity polymer (b) is set at 100- 300 poises, and the melt viscosity of a high-viscosity polymer (a) is set at 30 times or more that of the low-viscosity polymer (b). The shape of the extruding holes 2 in a spinneret 1 is a wedge, and the area on the extruding side of the high-viscosity polymer (a) is twice or more that of the low-viscosity polymer (b) to carry out the melt spinning. Thus, the aimed composite fibers of the bimetal type can be stably obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the end breakage and loosening of filaments, by extruding molten polymer from a spinneret having the nozzle group to extrude the finest denier filaments closest to the blasting port of the cooling air, and disposing the nozzle groups to extrude larger denier filament further from the blasting port, and drawing and heat-treating the extruded filaments. CONSTITUTION:Combined filament yarn made of filaments having different deniers wherein the ratio of the maximum denier to the minimum denier is >=2, is extruded under molten state from a spinneret having a particular nozzle disposition, and the yarn is taken up with the hot rotary roller 14 acting as a take- up roller as well as a drawing roller. The combined filament yarn 11 is drawn between the roller 14 and the hot Nelson roller 16, and heat-treated with the roller 16. A combined filament yarn made of filaments having different deniers and free of end-breakage and looped loosening can be manufactured by this process.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a combined yarn made of filaments having large differences in the fineness, by carrying out the spinning of the filaments under specific condition, using a spinneret having the nozzle groups to extrude the filament having finest denier closest to the blasting port of cooling air, and disposing the nozzle groups extruding thicker denier filaments further from the blasting port. CONSTITUTION:The spinneret 1 to be used in the present invention has a block arrangement wherein the nozzle group H1 of the nozzles 4 having smallest diameter and extruding the filaments having finest denier is placed closest to the blasting port of the cooling air, the nozzle group H2 of the nozzles 5 to extrude the next finest denier is placed at the intermediate position, and the nozzle group Hn having largest diameter and extruding the thickest denier filaments is disposed at the furthest position from the air blasting port. The temperature T( deg.C) and the flow rate V(m/min) of the cooling air are set to satisfy the formulas 10 =40 filaments and having a ratio of (maximum denier)/(minimum denier) of >=2 can be manufactured by this process.
