    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a coating composition excellent in smoothness, friction reduction and running durability, by mixing a fluorinated alkyl or alkenyl (meth) acrylate monomer with a specified vinyl monomer and a specified perfluoropolyether. CONSTITUTION:This fluorinated coating composition comprises the following components A, B and C, wherein the amount of B is 0.001-40wt.% and the amount of C is 0.1-50wt.% both based on component A. (A): a copolymer comprising 3-80wt.% 5C or higher fluorinated alkyl or alkenyl methacrylate or acrylate monomer (a), 1-30wt.% functional group-containing vinyl monomer (b), and 1-96wt.% vinyl monomer (c) having an unsaturated group on its end and (B): a perfluoropolyether of formula I or II.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of giving cured films of outstanding weatherability, stain and corrosion resistances, water repellency, etc., by blending an isocyanate compound and a specific fluorine-contg. copolymer with the glass transition temperature in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by blending (A) a fluorine-contg. copolymer with a glass transition temperature of 30-60 deg.C, produced from (i) 3-30wt.% of a monomer of the formula [Rf is perfluoroalkyl with >=10 fluorine atoms.; n is 1 or 2; R is H or CH3], (ii) 3-30wt.% of a hydroxyl group-contg. vinyl monomer and (iii) 70-94wt.% of a unsaturated group-terminated vinyl monomer and (B) an isocyanate compound in the equivalent ratio NCO/OH=0.5-1.5.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain excellent heat resistance for a long period of time without impairing the optical characteristics, more particularly light transmission of a plastic optical fiber by incorporating a specific heat resistance improving agent into said fiber. CONSTITUTION:Thioesters and/or phosphites are made of exist in the core component of a polymer which consists of an org. high-molecular polymer, has core-cladding structure and has the core component formed by copolymerizing 5-60wt.% methacrylate having an alicyclic hydrocarbon group of 8-20C and 95-40wt.% methyl methacrylate monomer. The plastic optical fiber having the excellent heat resistance is thereby obtd. without impairing the optical characteristics, more particularly, light transmission of the plastic optical fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of carbon-fiber fluffs to thereby prevent the occurrence of any internal shortcircuiting in the case where carbon fibers are used as a negative electrode active material, by coating part or the whole of the carbon fibers as electrode active material with resin. CONSTITUTION:PAN-type carbon fibers shaped like fibers, cloths, and the like, cellulose type carbon fibers, pitch type carbon fibers, etc., are used as carbon fibers. These carbon fibers are coated, using a spin-coat method, with thermoplastic or thermosetting resin such as, for example, fluorine resin, olefin resin, epoxy resin, or the like. If the resulting carbon fibers are used as a negative electrode active material, the generation of fluffs from the carbon fibers can be completely prevented. Further, minute shortcircuiting which is attributable to the perforation of the separator due to such fluffs can be prevented. Accordingly, a battery having a high service capacity is obtained with a high efficiency.

The compds. having the constitutional unit expressed by the formula have a strong cyclic structure and are, therefore, hardly thermally decomposed and hardly oxidized. In addition, the parts of nitrogen exhibit a cationic property in an acidic liquid and are the good exhaustion point in the case of use of the acidic dyes. Inorg. crosslinking agents, such as ammonium dichromate and potassium dichromate and org. crosslinking agents consisting of polyhydric acrylate and methacrylate such ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, pentaerithritol acrylate are preferably usable as the crosslinking agents.
