Abstract: A prepreg precursor comprising a carbon fiber woven fabric having applied to the fabric from 0.5 to 10 wt% of a stabilizer material for rendering stable the structural form of the fabric. Prepregs can then be produced using the woven fabric. The undesired settlement, into the prepreg of matrix resin with which the fabric is impregnated in order to produce the prepreg and which is originally present on the surface of the woven fabric, is thus prevented. Hence, compared with a prepreg prepared using conventional woven fabric, a prepreg prepared by using the woven fabric of the invention can hold its tackiness for a long time and can be used to produce a fiber reinforced composite material excellent in smoothness without being devoid of the resin on the surface.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a photosensitive polymer composition comprising the following components A, B and C: A: 100 parts by weight of ethylenically unsaturated compounds, B: 3 to 40 parts by weight of a polyamide or 3 to 32 parts by weight of a polyesteramide soluble in the ethylenically unsaturated compounds and C: 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a photopolymerization initiator, and a solid photosensitive printing plate material comprising the above-mentioned photosensitive polymer composition and a support, which solid photosensitive printing plate material can be easily prepared from a substantially solvent-free starting material and usable for the production of a printing plate, flexible printing plate and flexographic printing plate developable with water and/or an alcohol.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable effective reduction of the crystallinity of a polymer without changing water developability and to enhance flexibility, ink transferability, and reproductivity of the fine parts of an image by using a copolymer of alpha- olefin and polyvinyl acetate partially saponified in the part of the polyvinyl acetate. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin composition comprises (a) the copolymer of the 4-24C alpha-olefin in an amount of 0.2-15.0mol% and polyvinyl acetate partially saponified in the polyvinyl acetate part to a saponification degree of 50-99mol% in an amount of 10-90wt%; (b) a photopolymerizable unsaturated compound having a boiling point of >=150 deg.C and at least one terminal ethylene group in an amount of 10-90wt%; and (c) a photosensitizer in an amount of 0.001-10wt%. It is preferred for the part of the partially saponified polyvinyl acetate to have a lower polymerization degree from the viewpoint of water solubility, but to have a higher one from the viewpoint of image reproducibility and the toughness of a printing plate material. It is possible to use a mixture of >=2 kinds of polyvinyl acetate copolymer different in the content of alpha-olefin and the saponification degree and polymerization degree of the partially saponified polyvinyl acetate part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve production workability and to provide a printing plate material having excellent developability and above all, water developability by functioning alcohol soluble polyamide as a high polymer gelling agent. CONSTITUTION:The alcohol soluble polyamide, ethylenic unsatd. compd. and photopolymn. initiator are used as essential constituting components. This compsn. contains 2-28wt.% alcohol soluble polyamide and is formed by compounding 200-2,000pts.wt. ethylenic unsatd. compd. with 100pts.wt. alcohol soluble polyamide. A small amt. of the alcohol soluble polyamide is used and is functioned as the gelling agent and form retaining material. Workability, developability, developing soln. selectability, prepn. of the extremely soft printing plate and the solvent resistance of the printing plate are thereby improved and further, the prepn. of the printing plate which has the water and/or alcohol developability and flexographic printability is enabled.
