Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wear resistant coating layer free from segregation and good in adhesion without requiring working for thinning by subjecting a white metal layer with specified thickness and porosity coated on the bearing face of a bearing base material by a thermal spraying method to diffusion adhesion heating treatment at the temperature equal to or below the m.p. thereof. SOLUTION: The bearing face of a bearing base material 1 is roughened to 5 to 50 μm Ra or 30 to 500 μm Rmax, preferably by blasting treatment and is thereafter thermal-sprayed with white metal powder of 10 to 200 μm grain size at a high speed of 350 to 1500 m/sec by a high speed flame spraying or the like. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate machining for reduction in thickness, a degreasing work using an organic solvent and a plating work as a substrate treatment, to prevent segregation of white metal layers and to improve adhesion to a beating base material. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for a bearing component, having a wear-resistant coating layer composed of the white metal layers on the beating base material comprises the steps of overlaying the white metal layer having a thickenss of 0.2 to 2.0 mm on the beating surface of the beating base material by TIG welding; closely coating the overlaid white metal layer the white metal layer having a thickness of 1.0 to 30.0 mm and a porosity of 20% or less by thermal spraying and subjecting the bearing base material formed with the white metal layers to a diffusion adhesive heat treatment, carried out by heating in a heating furnace at a temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of white metal.
