Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a security setting protocol of wireless LAN communication irrespective of a type of a device. SOLUTION: The wireless communication device includes a device body STA1 and an auxiliary device R1. The device body STA1 complies with a WPS which is a protocol for automating security setting of the wireless LAN communication, and includes: a first communication means 4 for performing communication with a base station AP1; a generation means 7 for generating a PIN code; a second communication means 6 for transmitting the generated PIN code; and a control means 5 for performing security setting in a WPS-PIN system with the base station AP1 using the first communication means 4 to control data communication to be performed with the base station AP1. The auxiliary device R1 is separated from the device body STA1, and includes a third communication means 8 for receiving the PIN code transmitted by the second communication means 6, and a display means 10 for displaying the received PIN code. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable gateway device for improving the performance of communications utilizing a transport layer connection provided by setting up the transport layer connection between a wire terminal and a radio terminal in a form suitable for an application without changing implementation of the transport layer of a terminal connected to a wire network. SOLUTION: The gateway device for relay connecting the radio network and the wire network determines whether the transport layer connection between a radio terminal connected to the radio network and a terminal connected to the wire network is set up in two-divided forms of the transport layer connection for communication with the wire network and the transport layer connection for communication with the wire network or a message passes through not by way of the division connections according to types of applications known from a transport layer protocol data unit for requesting setting up of the transport layer connection between the terminals. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a terminal device capable of efficiently utilizing communication resources of a network and limited resources (power, storage capacity, etc.), of the terminal device. SOLUTION: In the communications system consists of a server connected to a prescribed network and the terminal for receiving various information distributed from the server through the network, the server distributes information to be distributed to the terminal device in block or dividedly to the terminal device in accordance with at least one of the available storage capacity of the terminal device and residual battery quantity.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal capable of saving the trouble of having to receive delivery information from one and the same radio base station excessively more than necessary. SOLUTION: In a radio terminal 201, a receiving part 202 receives the delivery information from the radio base station and a radio base station identifier identifying the base station itself so as to memorize the information into a first information storage 204 and also to memorize the identifier in bringing it into correspondence with its receiving time, a receiving control part 203 controls the receiving part 202 so as not to stop the receiving of the information having the identifier before passing a predetermined time form the receiving time.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable network control suitable to the state of a communication network by obtaining network constitution elements to accelerate control over communication network, etc., from the result obtained by making use of messages for exchanging prescribed transfer characteristics of a communication line between the communication terminal device and information server device above the network layer and reporting control information. SOLUTION: A communication line measurement part 23 of the communication terminal device 1 sends an SYN segment of TCP to the information server device 2, which sends an SYN-ACK segment back to the communication terminal device 1 in response. The communication terminal device 1 having received it measures the response time(RTT) from the transmission of the SYN by the communication line measurement part 23 to the reception of the SYN-ACK segment. A monitor part 24 switches the operation of an application program 21 according to an estimated value of the band width between ends derived on the basis of the RTT and packet size.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of throughput in a network by controlling intervals of acknowledgement of transmission and reception (ACK) to be transmitted to received data when transmission/reception of data is performed between a terminal and other terminals. SOLUTION: Data reception quantity is received by a received data quantity calculating part 12 and average received data quantity is newly calculated by using the data reception quantity and average received data quantity regarding period during which the ACKs are transmitted at the same intervals stored in a data reception quantity storage table 14 at a control part 11 of a client 1. The average received data quantity (1) is compared with the average received data quantity (2) at transmission intervals one stage narrower than the transmission intervals of the ACKs with the average received data quantity in the data reception quantity storage table 14 by the control part 11. When difference between the average data reception quantity (1) and (2) exceeds a certain threshold, an instruction to set the transmission interval as the one to transmit one ACK when 4380 bytes re received is transmitted to an ACK generating part 13.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device of high reliability that sets a transport layer connection between a wire terminal and a radio terminal in a form appropriate to an application without changing a packaging of a transport layer of a terminal connected to a wire network and can improve performance of communication for using the transport layer connection. SOLUTION: In a gateway device 900 for performing a trunk connection between a radio network and a wire network, it is decided whether a transport layer connection between the terminals is set by dividing into a transport layer protocol connection for communication with the radio network and the transport layer protocol for communication with the wire network or is passed not by way of the division connection, in accordance with kinds of application known from a transport layer protocol data unit for requesting a set of the transport layer connection between a connection terminal of the radio network and the connection terminal of the wire network.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance usabiliby of a transmission line by providing an information working means to work information transmitted from an information storing means and a means to transmit the information worked by the information working means to a radio terminal with a radio base station. SOLUTION: A control means 3a checks whether or not local information to be transmitted to an information table stored in an information table storing means 3d and local information storing means 3e exists when the radio base station 3 receives a signal from a radio terminal 5. When the local information exists, the control means 3a draws contents information from a storing means 3g. When no local information exists, the control means 3a transmits a transmission request signal of the contents information requested from the terminal 5 to a database 2 and obtains the contents information. In this way, the means 3a obtains the contents information to be transmitted to the terminal 5 and also instruct an editing means 3f to edit and work the contents information based on the contents requested from the terminal 5 if necessary.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform delivery confirmation with respect to a BC frame and an MC frame in a radio communication equipment system for performing radio LAN communication. SOLUTION: For example, a STA 101 which wants to transmit ACK frame transmission to a BCMC data frame transmits an ADDBCMC request frame (a) to an AP 100. Then, the AP 100 which has received the ADDBCMC request frame (a) transmits an ADDBCMC response frame (b) to the STA 101. Thus, it is possible for the STA 101 to establish the ACK frame transmission sequence to the BCMC data frame.
