Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the thermal damage of a lighting circuit component stored in a cover by making the diameter of a member fitted to the opening section of the cover larger than the diameter of the cover. CONSTITUTION: The diameter of a member fitted to the other end opening section of a cover 1, e.g. the diameter of a member 6 supporting a fluorescent lamp 15 or a covering member 18 of the fluorescent lamp 15, is made larger than the diameter of the cover 1. The high-temperature ascending air current generated by the heat emitted from the lamp 15 or the heat emitted from the surface of the covering member 18 of the lamp 15 rises on the periphery apart from the surface of the cover 1. The heat radiation from the surface of the cover 1 is not impeded, the ratio that the ascending air current heats the cover 1 is reduced, and a lighting circuit component can thermally be protected.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the heat interchange in a heat insulating air layer and to arrange a lighting circuit component easily affected by heat to be faced to low-temperature sections by partitioning the heat insulating air layer in the peripheral direction with partition walls. CONSTITUTION: The heat of a bent fluorescent lamp 15 tends to be transferred to a cover 1 side through a closing member 4 supporting the lamp 15, however a heat insulating air layer 8 is formed between a pair of disk-like partition boards 5, 6 separated in the axial direction on the closing member 4, and the heat insulating air layer 8 is divided into multiple block spaces 8a-8d by partition walls 7 extending in the radial direction, thus heat interchange in the heat insulating air layer 8 is prevented. A high-frequency lighting circuit component 11 stored in the cover 1 and easily affected by heat is faced to low-temperature sections 8c, 8d. When the fitting attitude of a circuit board 12 is selected, the thermal damage of the high-frequency lighting circuit component 11 can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate a disconnection of a soldered part by leaving a peeled part of a bundled core wire and reducing generation of stress of the core wire, when soldering the peeled tip of the core wire to a base or a lighting circuit component, as for a covered cord covered by a core wire with plural solid wires bundled. CONSTITUTION: A covered cord 30a is formed by using a core wire 31 with plural solid wires bundled, and therefore it is essentially softer than one using a core wire of a solid wire. In addition, since a peeled part 35 of the core wire 31 comprising the bundled wires is provided between the soldered part 34 of an eyelet terminal 3a and a covering 35, the peeled part can be easily transformed. Accordingly, since the peeled part 35 provided is soft, it is easily transformed, so that the covered cord 30 a transforms by following relative rotation displacement of a headlamp circuit part 11 and a base 3. Thereby, the covering can eliminate a disconnection of the soldered part by reducing generation of stress in the core wire.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To forcibly discharge the air heated in a heat insulating air layer by providing a vent pipe communicating the heat insulating air layer formed on a closing member with the outside of a cover through the chamber of the cover. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder section 2 is formed at one end of a cover 1, and a base 3 is fitted to the cylinder section 2. A closing member is fitted to the other end opening of the cover 1. The member 4 is formed with a pair of partition boards 5, 6, and a heat insulating air layer 8 is formed between the boards 5, 6. A lighting circuit component storage chamber 11 is formed in the cover 1, and a lighting circuit component 13 is stored in the chamber 11. A vent pipe 17 is provided through the chamber 11 in the axial direction, one end of the vent pipe 17 is connected to the board 5 and opened to the layer 8, and the other end is connected to a partition wall 10 and communicated with an atmosphere open chamber 12. The air heated in the layer 8 flows out into the chamber 12 through the vent pipe 17 and is discharged to the outside from the chamber 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the temperature rise of a heat insulating air layer by providing vent pipe communicated with the heat insulating air layer at the base end and opened to the tip side in the axial direction than the electrode of a fluorescent lamp at the tip on a closing member. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder section 2 is formed at one end of a cover 1, and a base 3 is fitted to the cylinder section 2. The other end opening of the cover 1 is closed by a closing member 4. The closing member 4 is formed with a pair of partition boards 5, 6, and a heat insulating air layer 8 is formed between the boards 5, 6. The layer 8 is communicated with the outside over the whole periphery. A high-frequency lighting circuit component 11 is stored in the cover 1. A bent fluorescent lamp 15 is fitted to the board 6 of the member 4. A vent pipe 20 is protruded toward a lamp 15 side on the board 6, its base end is communicated with the layer 8, and its tip is opened to the atmosphere. The outside air is fed into the layer 8 through the vent pipe 20, and the air heated in the layer 8 is urged to flow out to the outside.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten time required for exhaust process by forming an exhaust pipe for exhausting the insides of the bulbs of a metal material. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe 19 consisting of a metal material such as copper, brass and niob is longitudinally and tightly connected to a small hole bored about in the central part of the bottom of a coupling member 12 while exhausting gas inside the coupling member 12 through said exhaust pipe 16. In the exhaust process of a fluorescent lamp, firstly a ventilator is connected to an outer end of the exhaust pipe 19 to exhaust the inside of the coupling member 12 as well as the insides of the glass bulbs 10 and 11 tightly connected to said coupling member 12. Next, the tip part of the metal-made exhaust pipe 19 is squeezed by pressing it between through a pliers-shaped jig 17 for chipping to tightly block it.
