[PROBLEM] In a train control system, the train control system is provided, which while ensuring safety even when a radio communication disabled section occurs, enables traveling in this section so that the operation of a train is not interrupted. [SOLVING MEANS] In a train control system which performs radio communication between an on-board control device installed in a vehicle and a ground control device mounted on a ground, the train control system comprising fixed block section setting means that sets a section obtained by adding a safe deceleration control distance necessary for stopping, to a radio communication disrupted section in which radio communication is disrupted at an end, as a fixed block section, stop limit position setting means that sets a position rearward (upstream side) by a margin distance from an end of the fixed block section, for a train entering the fixed block section, as a stop limit position on the end side of the fixed block section, and control means that controls the train, based on the fixed block section and the stop limit position.

According to one embodiment, a wireless terminal communicates with a server via a plurality of wireless base stations. The wireless terminal comprises a means for transmitting a signal in a normal-power transmission mode, a means for transmitting the signal in a low-power transmission mode, a transmission power control means for switching the normal-power transmission mode to the low-power transmission mode, or vice versa, and a means for transmitting current position data to the server. The server determines the position of the wireless terminal from the position data, designates one of the base stations, which is close to the wireless terminal, in accordance with the position data when the wireless terminal is set to the low-power transmission mod, and determines that the base station designated has a problem if the server does not receive the signal transmitted in the low-power transmission mode.
