Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively remove a gel layer and a cake layer and to prevent a decrease in the flow rate of the permeated liq. by making the pressure on the permeated liq. side of an ultrafilter membrane higher than the pressure of a raw liq. during continuous filtration, and washing the membrane with a washing soln. from the permeated liq. side. CONSTITUTION:The raw liq. in a raw liq. tank 5 is circulated through the ultrafilter membrane device 1 by a raw liq. circulating pump 3 through pipelines 7 and 8. The liq. permeated through the ultrafilter membrane is recovered in a receiver 6 from a pipeline 13 while controlling the flow rate by an automatic opening and closing valve 2. When the ultrafilter membrane of the device 1 is washed, the valve 2 is closed, and the raw liq. circulating pump 3 is simultaneously stopped to make the pressure on the permeated liq. side higher than that on the raw liq. side. By this method, the ultrafilter membrane can be washed in an extremely short time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of an anode and a cathode by hydrofluoric acid by protecting the electrodes from hydrofluoric acid by a cation-exchange membrane at the time of recovering hydrofluoric acid by electrodialysis. CONSTITUTION:An anion-exchange membrane 8 is placed between the cation- exchange membranes 9, the anode 6 and cathode are arranged on the outside of the cation-exchange membranes 9, and the anode chamber 4, cathode chamber 5, supply liq. chamber 2, and recovered liq. chamber 3 are separated from each other. An aq. sulfuric acid soln. is charged in the anode chamber 4 and cathode chamber 5, an aq. hydrofluoric acid soln. is charged in the recovered liq. chamber 3, the hydrofluoric acid contg. an iron ion and a nickel ion is circulated through the supply liq. chamber 2, and electrodialysis is carried out. Since the electrodes are protected from the hydrofluoric acid by the anion-exchange membrane, the corrosion of the anode as well as of the cathode by the hydrofluoric acid can be prevented, and hydrofluoric acid can be efficiently recovered.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To purify the titled compound in high efficiency, suppressing the decomposition of the compound, by supplying an aqueous solution of a dipeptide ester containing an inorganic acid into a middle chamber of an electrolytic cell partitioned with anion exchange membranes, charging a base and an electrolyte to a cathode chamber and an anode chamber, respectively, and transferring the inorganic acid from the middle chamber to the anode chamber. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a dipeptide ester (e.g. alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester) containing an inorganic acid is supplied to a middle chamber 7 between anion exchange chambers 2, 3 of an electrolytic cell 1 partitioned with plural anion exchange membranes 2, 3. The cathode chamber 8 and the anode chamber 6 are supplied with an aqueous solution containing a basic substance and an aqueous solution of an electrolyte, respectively. A potential is applied between the anode 4 and the cathode 5 to transfer hydroxyl ion from the cathode chamber 8 through the anion exchange membrane 3 into the middle chamber 7 to neutralize the aqueous solution of dipeptide ester containing inorganic acid and, at the same time, the anion of the inorganic acid in the aqueous solution is transferred through the anion exchange membrane 2 into the anode chamber 6 to obtain the objective compound in purified state.
